days on campus.

Sometimes I hate the concrete jungle that my university is, and sometimes when the light hits it in all the right ways I can’t help but love it.

Day in day out I’m in the library, it feels like home at this point.

January is always a disaster of a month. I remember on my year abroad in Canada when we were done with our autumn semester modules by the end of the year and then had time to fully relax before coming back for the next semester. But here you have to struggle through your essays and assignments on your break so by the time you start the next semester, you are already burnt out haha My body has been in the fight or flight mode for the past few weeks.

But exciting news. I’ve been stressed for months about the first assignment I submitted for my masters because I thought it was the worst work I have ever written. I actually thought I wouldn’t even pass. And then boom, I find out that I got the best grade in the cohort. I’m still shocked and don’t know how this happened. Also, I am an idiot for stressing so much about this. I need to relax a little and stop being an idiot. That would probably solve a lot of my problems and give me the peace I need :)

I’m done with my graded assignments, and now just have to finish a few bits for my research project, including sending off my protocol and applying for ethical approval.

Busy period with a lot of things due. I can’t tell days apart. It begins with breakfast whilst watching some cartoons and ends with me working. I just can’t wait until this busy period is finished and I can live a little :( At least I have something to look forward to because I booked to get a new tattoo ✨
