Kakashi is a #girldad and you can’t change my mind.

But 100% he and his partner (who wanted a daughter real bad because they weren’t sure they could handle a Kakashi clone) had a bet of who the babe would come out looking more like and Kakashi is smitten that she looks just like him, and he never lets them forget it.

He is super worried about her hair being as wild as his though, and has nightmares about it getting caught, or pulled on, or tangled (which would hurt her lil’ head) so he learns how to do really good (like hella good cuz Kakashi is good at everything he does, thank you very much) ponytails and braids before she even has hair by practicing on himself. Sometimes Mirai let's him practice on her, though she reminds him she’s only doing it for the baby because she knows she would have liked it if her dad had been able to do her hair.

They definitely fall asleep on the couch snuggling almost every night. She curls up in his lap and he traces little circles in her back. She puts her head on his chest and begins to doze off; nothing makes her fall asleep as fast as the soft little beats of Kakashi’s heart.

He never put pressure on her to become a shinobi. He thought it was important she choose her own path in life. Obviously she wants to be one just like her dad though, and he melts when she runs up to him one day and says, “Daddy I’m gonna be a ninja just like you and Grandpa”.

10/10 gives in to anything when she flashes him the puppy dog eyes.

Speaking of, first day she comes home from daycare and says “Dad, today I made a best friend and he’s really cool” and Kakashi literally goes out and gets her a puppy to be with her 24/7 cuz he doesn’t like the thought of boys within 100ft of his lil’ girl.

At the same time though, despite being his first kid, Team 7 was the “first born” who broke him in to parenting. So she gets away with a lot of stuff other kids her age don’t. Cuz Kakashi, believing it’s important that she experiences the world and becomes self-reliant is like “Whatever, just don’t do anything stupid” and his partner is all “Seriously? Not even going to ask where she’s going?” but he’s like “What? I raised myself and look how great I turned out.”

Being so busy with work is the absolute hardest thing for him as a parent. He definitely tricks other people into babysitting by telling his daughter to ask them (and maybe drops hints of what to say) cuz he knows they won’t say no to a child that stinkin’ cute.

“Sakura, you’re so pretty! Can you show me how to brush my hair like yours?” Boom. He’s free all day.

But her favorite person to spend time with (other than her dad) is Guy. He spoils her. Ice cream for dinner whenever she wants. They always play really fun games that he made up, and he exaggerates stories about times he’s “saved Kakashi”, so she thinks he is amazing.

Even though he’s busy, Kakashi always, always makes an effort to be there when she needs him. They have scheduled picnic dates multiple times a week and he is -hear me out on this one- never late.
