Release. Recharge. Reset. ✌️🍁💕 So grateful to have had a couple days out in the woods to do just that. This weekend, I joined a @floyofit retreat for a little escape to Harpers Ferry and it was beautiful! Changing leaves, quiet falling leaves, yoga, paddle boarding, new friends, old friends, wine, bonfires, deep breaths.... I loved it all but I know that’s what I loved most. In 2020, and even before that, I think we’ve collectively shallowed our breathing... staying tense and tight to prepare ourselves for the next (insert whatever crazy/painful thing coming at us today). And while it seemingly helps us absorb the blows, it also keeps us from those true deep moments of peace that help balance these difficulties. Sure these moments dont solve everything, they don’t erase our fears or pain. BUT they help expand my heart and calm my mind. In 2020, we’ve had to make attempts to find peace much more purposeful. I hope everyone can find some moments soon - outside if possible, but if not anywhere you can... a hot bath, a long run, a gentle nap, waking up early to enjoy a quiet cup of tea while the rest of the house is asleep. Whatever it is, I hope you get it. I hope you make time for it.
