Interview with Jason Rothenberg
Interview with Jason Rothenberg
βCourse, as a Clexa fan, now I am seriously worried? And disappointed? It seems like this Bellamy & Clarke thing is a huge fandom want and who cares who else it hurts. βWe played with the Lexa/Clarke storyline this season and that is still ongoing because both characters are still breathing.β Reallyβ¦? Because theyβre both still breathing?Β
Re: Bellamy/Clarke:
βItβs in the books! Itβs a very tense part of the books. If you want that right now, you can get it. At some point, the show will give it to you too, but for now, itβs not there.βΒ
Now Iβm inching toward certainty that Lexa will die and join the ranks of one half of every female/female relationship ever and it makes me sick and sad that now Iβm going to watch every episode with an eye for thisβ¦
That interview is from March 12, 2015.Β They started writing season 3 In April! Too much time has passed for it to be relevant. Even back then he had to give interviews like this to placate the fans. Β Lexaβs not dying.Β
I certainly hope youβre right, friend. I certainly do. Been burned too many times in the past, so Iβll probably still end up sitting on the edge of my seatβ¦ for all the wrong reasons.
