Psychic vibrations :: I painted this many many years ago while living in India and illuminated reflections of my coming time in Hawaii. Tomorrow I return to the Big Island to connect to the ‘aina and work with my Kumu (Hawaiian teacher) practice chant and healing. . I’m returning to a place that I love deeply and has changed drastically in recent weeks, lava flowing over and destroying many beautiful places I was lucky enough to be a part of. . after dark light in the window streaking through the shades of night... this morning i awoke . to a fine sheen of dust emanating from sheeted dreams. . sleeping into the dawn it holds the silence. until i recall the whispering song, carried by whippoorwills (named aptly, onomatopoeically) who've wandered the precipice, appearing as messengers of the night. . there is an old~new smell and the Peace Lily curves 3 white blooms, absorbing the toxins of yesteryear into an illusion of Now that passes as they exhume the salty remnants beside the grave remembrance. . they are dying in the nights and in the morning, on street corners and in plush beds. . they die and drift, wandering that glittering wave of quiet filigree laced in the horizontal lilt: sea over sky, over speckled land, eroding. . the crumble, the light pressure under fingertips is as fleeting as expressed starlight. . thoughts streak surreptitious to the lands between, guarded by Nyx and her starry birth. . they hunt. with Dakini blade in hand, to discover the proper passage over bewildered dunes for shimmering soul sparks, seeking the crest of Tomorrow at daybreak. . the track of blue ghoom, spinning searching, wandering visible only when she is mourning . alone: .
