I haven't been around much lately because summer has been keeping me busy in the nicest way. I've been out in the countryside planting trees, gardening and just enjoying the slower pace. There have been little flowers popping up along the roadside, feathers appearing here and there, and even a curious little fox visitor 🦊 I haven't taken many photos because I've mostly been caught up in the moment, which has honestly been really lovely. Just a quiet little summer update from me. 🌞

There's something special about the stillness that follows a day of Midsummer festivities.

Scorpio ♏

I actually don't know my exact birth time, just the date 😅 So I'm not sure what my rising or moon sign is.

Maybe the water and fire mix is why I feel like I'm made of contradictions 😅 Half of me is a fiery menace with a sharp tongue and a free spirit. The other half is painfully sensitive, overthinks everything, avoids confrontation with all my being, and just wants everyone to be happy and okay. Whether that's the Scorpio, the Sagittarius, or just me being me… who's to say?

You know, that's actually a fun question for me 😅 Most of my life I was convinced I was a Scorpio. I even had Scorpio-themed mugs at home and everything. Then one day, as an adult, someone asked when my birthday was. When I told them, they went "Ahh, so you're a Sagittarius". I was like "No, I'm not. Im a Scorpio. I've always been a Scorpio" 👀 So I looked into it and it turns out I was born right on the Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp. Depending on which horoscope or astrology site you check.. I'm either a Scorpio or a Sagittarius. And now I've somehow turned your very simple question into a whole essay. Oh well.. 😅

I had the perfect Monday morning today. Fresh sheets. Rain tapping against the windows. That cozy, moody feeling that makes it almost impossible to leave the bed. So I didn't. I made myself a cup of coffee, climbed right back under the covers, put on a TV series, and let myself enjoy a slow start to the day. I know mornings like this are a privilege. They're also something I've intentionally made space for. Sometimes that means answering work emails on a Sunday… and I'm okay with that. Today, I chose the coffee, the blankets, and absolutely nowhere to be. 10/10 would recommend staying in bed a little longer on rainy mornings.

A thought I had on my walk today... Learning the names of wildflowers makes every walk feel a little more like meeting the neighbors 🌱
