♔   she always had that positive air about her , he can’t help but notice it . that energy accompanied by the clothes she wore and beautiful red hair — he must remember to ask to paint her one day . truthfully , he should feel ashamed for allowing an underclassman to pay for him ; but it wasn’t like a starving artist would bite the hand offering to feed him . any opportunity for a free meal was an opportunity to take . 

“ i owe you a great deal , sumire-san . “   with low inspirations currently , it wasn’t like he’d get any valid work done at his dorm or the studios on the school campus . of course , those dry days were frustration , but he did find that being out in places other than central street tended to help .

A smile appeared as soon as Yusuke agreed to accept her offer. Sumire could not contain the excitement that was rushing through. She could not tell if it was from the tasty food, they were going to indulge themselves in or if it was from helping him with his meal problem. Nevertheless, she genuinely believed this was going to be a fun outing. “Oh! If we go now, we can make it to the train headed there.”

She placed the menu down to the side next to her water, as excited as she was the food was not going to get to them sooner. Her eyes glanced over to the table next them, observing how the other guests were cooking their food. “Truth be told I have never experienced eating at a Monjayaki shop before, it’s exciting to finally experience it.” Not soon after, she realized her poor posture and adjusted it, raising her back to prevent herself from slouching. “Yusuke-Senpai, how did you come about joining the-” She stopped, lowered her tone, and leaned a little bit forward. “Phantom Thieves?”

Kasumi felt her chest tighten up as she failed to shake the thoughts of what those memories could be. Her hand, clutching on the handle of her chair as she could feel as if something is eating her from inside. She took a deep breath in and a deep breath out before loosening her grip on the handle. “I...”

Sumire had only heard Ryuji mention Yusuke’s food shortages. She had hoped it wasn’t true, and hearing him confirm it for himself only made her worry even more regarding his situation. Her eyes trailed to the side as she wondered how she could help him. Her eyes widened and made its way back to him.

“Well, if you promise not to tell anyone about the secret ingredient…” Ren said very seriously into the phone receiver. “Working coffee into the gymnast diet?” 

“S-Secret ingredient?” Thoughts of what that secret ingredient could be flooded her mind. Could it be the type of bean? a sweet ingredient? or elephant poop? She gently shook her head from those baseless assumptions, regaining her composure in time to answer the question he asked her.

“Yes, it’s something I wanted to try after I got a taste of the coffee you made me the other day. It was delicious, and if I could incorporate that into my diet, it would help with fatigue. Fatigue is a silent killer, wouldn’t you agree, Senpai?” She said with a confidant voice. “Oh, that reminds me-”, before she could finish a familiar buzzing was being played from her phone, causing her to flinch from the noise. A frown had made its way on Sumire’s face. She remembered that she wanted to talk to Futaba about fixing her phone, yet the thought always slipped her mind until it acts up again. “I hope I don’t forget this time.” She said as her eyes focused on the wooden floors of Shujin Academy.
