“You are what you let yourself be! You could still rock it even with a tummy,” Olivia patted her stomach as well. “That’s a lie and you know it! I’m the best person to hang out with, especially when you’re hungry.” Olivia laughed and wrapped an arm around her friend’s shoulder. “I’ll stop when we go get ourselves the cake. Come on…you know you want to, Kara Cavanaugh.”

Kara shook her head. “Nah, I don’t think I can. Besides, I’m sure you can rock it as well!” she exclaimed and grinned. “You’re the worst person to hangout with when hungry, I’m just going to keep eating the unhealthiest of things.” Grinning when she wrapped an arm around her, Kara scrunched her nose. She sighed when she encouraged her to get cake. “Fine, let’s do it. Where do you wanna get cake?”

“It’s people like that in the world that make it hard for people to trust others.”

“Do you have trust issues?” “ Kara asked the girl curiously. “Have you encountered any creepy men?”

It felt like forever until Kara finally opened the door. Matt didn’t hesitate to step inside, feeling safer in there than he did out in the hallway. He could hear her asking him questions, but he couldn’t answer. Pacing back and forth in her living room, a shaky hand ran trough his hair before he covered his face for a moment. Heavy breaths escaped the panicked boy before his arms went behind his head as a way to maybe stabilize himself. It was something his mother had taught him when he was younger, although they didn’t appear to work. Panic attacks weren’t uncommon for Matt, but over the years they were less frequent and he had been better at dealing with them. In juvie they came all the time, things triggering him at practically every corner. Once he was out, he wasn’t triggered as often. This, however, was a major trigger. The possibility of him having seen his father was too much for him.

Closing the door behind him as soon as he stepped inside, Kara furrowed her brows as he started to panic and pace back and fourth through her living room. This was new for her and she wasn’t exactly sure of how to handle it. Seeing him so vulnerable with the busted lip and his eye swelling Kara wanted to know what was going on to him and what left him in that state. She didn’t say anything and let him continue whatever he was doing, thinking it was best that he let it all out before she tried to talk to him. Walking a little closer to him, Kara crossed her arms against her chest before she moved even closer to him when he started to panic. “Matt!” she tried to call out for him but he kept talking. Seeing Matt have a panic attack was starting to scare Kara, wondering how she was even going to calm him down now. The further he delved into whatever it was that got him where he was now, she knew he would get worse.

“So? Seriously? So? Are you trying to kick me while I’m done?” he inquired, raising an eyebrow before continuing to eat his food. “That’s… That’s gross, not interesting. I think you’re holding out on me for some reason.” He threw a napkin at her before drinking the rest of his water. Sighing at her question, Oliver twisted his lips to the side. “You know why I’m not looking. Besides, I’m not hot enough to go to a club.”

“There’s nothing I’m holding out on!” Kara exclaimed and shook her head. “Is this you asking about me and Matt or something?” she asked with a raised brow. Laughing when he threw a napkin at her, Kara tossed it to the side. Finishing her food, Kara took a break from eating for a moment, knowing if she ate too much now she would never going to finish all the food they had bought. Giving him a look of sympathy, Kara leaned over to Oliver. “The whole Gwen thing?” she asked, biting her bottom lip as she wasn’t sure if bringing her up would be a good idea. 

“One of the perks of being an insufferable know-it-all. I know all.” Louis laughed. He didn’t mean it but he loved to banter with Kara.

“You’re going to get yourself punched one day being a sufferable know it all.”

“”Well, if you are going to help me train it then I’m committing myself to getting one.” Ava said excitedly as she squealed slightly. 

Kara squealed and clapped her hands in excitement. “Do you want me to help you look for the perfect dog?”

“I don’t know what you’re worried about…you’re a hot chick so don’t worry about a thing,” Olivia waved a hand at the girl’s comment. “I work out too though! But…well, sometimes. “Oooh, lets go get a red velvet cake!” she responded, completely disregarding Kara’s request to stop talking about food. “One with cream cheese icing!”

“I’m a hot chick because of my body,” Kara said and looked down at her body before pointing to her dress. “I wouldn’t look hot in a skin tight dress if I had a bit of a tummy going.” Patting her stomach a little, Kara laughed when Olivia continued to talk about food. “You are honestly the worst person to hangout with!” she exclaimed. “Stop talking about food. I now want a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. I hate you Olivia Weston.”

“That…that is scary. I feel like people like that would be the type of person you should definitely concerned about. I hope that doesn’t sound mean or judgemental but…if they’re vocal about their preference like that…how can you not feel worried?”

“It’s weird,” she reassured the girl. “I mean, a guy has a fetish for virgins and just wants to deflower them and then as soon as he has, he doesn’t want to be with her anymore. It’s kind of an asshole move and weird. I wouldn’t want to be around that kind of person.”

“Yes yes. I love thier lipsticks so much” Rosalie murmured with a big smile. “I literally have a make up box full of just lipsticks. I’m a little addicted”

“Me too! I’m always buying their new products and I obsessively check their site for when new things come out. It’s a problem for me and the horrible part is that they aren’t cheap like at all!”

Picking Audi up, she kissed him on the forehead and carried her plate to the living room where she then put Audi on her couch and her plate on the coffee table. Telling Audi not to eat her food, she walked back into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of wine. Once finally settled in her couch, Kara quickly finished her meal as she watched the news. It was a quiet night for her and she was tempted to call Matt and ask him what he was doing but decided against it and figured, if things got really boring she’d go and bother her neighbor and friend, Delaney. After her meal, Kara shut off the TV and picked up a book she had been currently reading for the week and curled up to her blanket and continued to read her book. 

“No,” she responded after careful consideration, choosing the ignore the comment about how boring Finley was - if only she knew… “I just don’t think it’s something to be taken lightly,” she tried to shrug it off, making the comment as nonchalant as possible despite the very heavy connotations. 

“Sex?” she asked, looking at the girl oddly. “It’s just sex, there’s nothing really special about it. It’s human nature to just wanna fuck. You make it complicating by thinking it’s something super special and important that you have to save,” Kara said and rolled her eyes. Although she had nothing against those who wanted to save themselves for people they loved, Kara never understood why sex had to be so important to people.

“Okay, now you’re just pushing it,” he laughed, falling into step next to the blonde. “Did you ever think I meant to do that so I get free lunch?”

Laughing, Kara shook her head and scrunched her nose. “Right because you happen to know that I would walk by and offer you free lunch.”
