“I was on my way to The Hound. Does that work for you?” he asked, glancing over at her as they walked. Colin moved his hands into his pockets as he awaited a response, happy to choose a different locale if she preferred somewhere else.

Kara nodded, “That is totally fine and works totally fine. I do like that place.” She smiled as she put a hand through her hair and smiled, “So how was your day anyway?”

“It would also be terribly tragic, as well as hard to clean up and forget. There are many benefits to the fact you’re still standing,” he flashed her a cheeky grin. Giving a shrug, Colin gestured to his side so she could match his gate. “I’d be happy to have the company. Eating alone is good for thinking, but not always the most entertaining. Do you want me to carry your files on the way?”

"That is very true and we wouldn’t want that because I can just see it not being very fun to clean up.” She nodded smiling at the guy. “Well then I would love to keep you company. Oh no it’s fine I’ve got them but thank you for offering. So where are we going for food?”

“Yeah I can, whenever you’re free you can always come over and I can teach you how to walk properly.” Preity was trained in dance and had been dancing since she was young, that helped her with her balance. “Well then let’s get some coffee, tea can wait another day,” Preity linked arms with her best friend and led her in the direction of the coffee shop. “She should but she won’t. I’m used to it. Ms. Zara Malhotra has no room in her life for her sister.”

She laughed and shook her head, "I don’t think there’s a possible way to teach me how to walk properly, I mean I can walk properly but I just can’t not be clumsy” She laughed, clumsiness was part of her, she had been clumsy since she can remember. Kara laughed a little and shock her head, “Well that’s too bad. You’re far too amazing to be ignored.”

karagreenex :

“Don’t feel bad,” he waved a hand in front of himself, trying to reassure her. “Okay, good. No dying on the streets of Sanford, especially not when you have something great happening, like the end of work for the day.” Smiling, Colin shrugged. “I was just headed to The Hound to grab a bite to eat. You can join if you want a little break,” he added after a pause.

She laughed, “I can’t help it.” She stated and looked at him, “Oh I wouldn’t want to die on he streets, it would be very weird if I am honest.” She laughed a little and nodded. Hearing his offer she smiled, she could do with something to eat so she was glad to be going somewhere, “Yeah that would be great if you don’t mind me joining you?”

“Hm, it’ll be difficult but I can train you to not be so difficult. And as your best friend, it is right for me to teach you how to be able to walk in a straight line,” Preity smiled sweetly. She would always look out for Kara and if that meant teaching the other how to not crash into things then she would gladly do just that. It would be quite hard, Preity thought. “That’s not nice. Do you want to grab some tea at the tea shop? Maybe that’ll help you relax,” Preity suggested. “Oh you know how my sister is I don’t exist in her world.”

“You really think you could teach me? Because I really think it’s more like impossible to stop my clumsiness. I can usually just about walk in a straight line.” She nodded at Preity and smiled softly. Kara laughed and nodded, “Hmm tea sounds good, I actually think I might agree although I’m starting to feel more like coffee right now. Well she should make you exist in her world.” She stated looking at the girl.

“Hey, I’m fine. Look at me,” Colin gestured up and down his body, showing how completely unscathed he was. “It was just a small bump. Alright, well then I really hope they’re in great shape, because I don’t want you dying.” He offered her a friendly smile, even if his look was still a bit apologetic. “Done with work for the day?”

Kara sighed putting a hand through er hair, “I mean I gt you’re fine but I still feel bad.” She stated looking at hm and nodded, “I am totally fine just super tired right now. Bu I won’t be dying today.” She looked at him and nodded, “Yes finally, thank goodness. Where are you off to?”

“We’re going to need to teach you how to not be as clumsy as you are because you may end up crashing into someone who is not so forgiving,” she stated. Preity could do anything in heels and she wanted her best friend to be able to walk as well as she could. “Was work difficult then? Oh nothing, just on my way back home - my sister is probably home too but I doubt she realizes I’m not there.”

“Well how do I learn not to be so clumsy? If I could learn I would be very happy to do so. I really hope I don’t, it would be terrible if I did that and someone got really upset with me.” She stated as she looked at her best friend, grateful that she could forgive her for bump into her. She nodded, “Work was just long more the difficult. I think I just got a big work load. Oh right that seems nice and relaxing all together. Well why would she not notice you weren’t there?

With the market closed for the day, Colin decided to go out to grab a bite to eat. While he’d garnered some basic cooking skills and could easily order in, he felt like he’d been sitting down for much too long, and thus decided to head over to The Hound. Thinking more about what he might want to have for dinner than where he was going since the streets were so familiar to him at this point, he noticed just too late there was someone walking in his direction. “Sorry about that!” Bending down to get the folder, he let her scoop it up since she got there first, and instead straightened up once more. “I hope your files are okay. Should’ve paid more attention to the world around me.”

Kara stood there she honestly hated being so clumsy sometimes, she hated bumping into people and stopping them from getting to places they needed to get too. She looked at him and shock her head as he handed her the folder and smiled, “It wasn’t your fault it was mine. I’m sorry.” She stated and nodded looking at him, “I am sure they fine, if they aren’t my boss might kill me but I am sure they will be fine. No please it was my fault.” She told him again.

Preity let out a little yelp when she felt someone bump into her. She’d been on her way back from the restaurant, her waitressing leaving her too tired to even function. Preity had never expected herself to be a waitress but she needed a job to make sure she had an excuse to stay in the town with her sister. “Kara,” she grinned, spotting her best friend. “No need to apologize, let me help you.” She picked up the folders and extended her hand towards her best friend. “You look tired.”

Kara was trying to assemble herself as she looked at the girl she had bumped into and smiled softly at her best friend, “Oh still I am sorry. My clumsiness came over me again.” She laughed a little and nodded, “I am very tired. Thank you.” She said as she took hold of the folder, “It was a long day today. Can’t actually wait to get home to just relax. What are you up to right now anyway?”

If there were one thing that Marcus Ealy hated, it was being late. He loathed not being on time, loathed being the last man in the room, loathed having eyes on him as he entered a meeting. It was true that he didn’t just hate one thing, but if there were only one thing to hate, it might be this. As it was, he was already running late to a meeting at the precinct. Whoever was driving in front of him decided to take their time as well as Marcus’, and thus painted a frown on the man’s face. 

Now that he was finally closer to the station, the frown was deeper. It did not help that a woman bumped into him.

“Jesus Christ,” he muttered under his breath just as the other body hit him. He shook his head and directed his next words at the woman before him. “Watch where you’re going, will you? Jesus.”

Kara was aware of her own clumsiness, she didn’t need anyone to point it out to her so she apologized straight away even if it wasn’t really her fault. As she heard the boys voice she stood there looking at him in shock, “Oh my, I already said I am sorry. I didn’t mean to it’s been a long day. Maybe you could just you know stop getting so angry because I bumped into you, it’s not like I killed you or anything. You know if you were looking where you were going you wouldn’t have bumped into me either so this is partly your fault. But either way again I am sorry.” She sighed putting her hand through her hair.
