Request: Hello! I saw your prompt post and could you please do 9,15, and/or 21 with Joe? Thanks xx
Even though Caspar was one of your best friends, you shouldâve known heâd betray you this way. He had spent ages trying to get you to tell him who you liked, but you wouldnât cave. Finally, one drunken night, you spilled and told him how you felt about Joe. He swore never to tell him, and he didnât. But just because he never said it didnât mean he wasnât going to do everything in his power to set you two up.
You went on holiday to South Africa with Caspar, Josh, Oli, Joe, and Casparâs girlfriend Maddie. You were having a great time so far. It was lovely to get to know Maddie, as she made Caspar so happy, while also spending time with your best friends.
One night, Caspar suggested having a bonfire down by the ocean. Naturally, you all eagerly obliged. It was a warm night and sitting around a fire on the beach would be a great way to end the day.
The six of you sat around the fire, chatting about random things and laughing like you hadnât a care in the world. You were sitting on the sand next to Joe, rather closely in fact. He was sitting with his legs out in front of him and his arms propping himself up behind him. He was sitting so close to you that one of his arms was almost behind your back. You kept your chill though, as you didnât want to give Caspar the satisfaction of seeing you blush.
âLetâs go skinny dipping!â Caspar suddenly exclaimed. He stood up immediately, dragging a laughing Maddie along with him. The other boys just looked at each other and laughed, staying where they were seated. With a sudden burst of courage, you stood up.
âAnyone coming with me?â you asked, brushing some sand casually off your behind. You figured none of the boys would, so you were surprised when Joe stood up and joined you. You tried to control your racing heart, but failed miserably. When you got to the shore, you pulled your shirt over your head and dropped your shorts. You knew if you hesitated at all, you would back out completely, so you immediately went to unhook your bra and drop your underwear. You and Joe stood silently beside each other. He hadnât looked at you and you hadnât looked at him. âIâll look if you look?â you said quietly.
âOkay,â Joe breathed out. So, you both turned and looked at each other. You didnât feel as uncomfortable as you thought you would and you were definitely glad that your girlfriends had encouraged you to get a wax before the trip. Joe was, well, literally flawless. You cleared your throat awkwardly, then turned to run into the water.
The four of you were laughing, just splashing each other and generally goofing around. Eventually, Maddie and Caspar swam a little bit farther away, leaving you and Joe alone. âYou have a tattoo?â Joe spoke suddenly.
You spun around to face him, sinking a little deeper in the water to cover your chest. âYeah,â you said gently. âItâs, uh-â
âDid you draw it?â he asked.
âYeah,â you said again.
âCan I see it again?â
You nodded slowly and turned so that Joe could look at the tattoo on your right shoulder blade. You felt his finger trace along the tattoo, causing goosebumps to cover your body. âSorry,â Joe said, noticing your shiver.
âItâs okay,â you said quickly.
âSo, whatâs it for?â he asked. You still didnât want to turn to face him. Your tattoo was a crescent moon with a small heart inside the curve of it.
âMy grandma always said, God puts the moon in the sky to show you that even when life getâs dark, thereâs a light somewhere. As long as that light is there, I will love you,â you explained quietly. âSo, I drew the moon and then my grandma drew the heart for me.â When Joe was quiet, you turned to face him again. âI guess itâs kind of stupid,â you mumbled.
âNo,â Joe said quickly. âItâs not stupid. I like it a lot.â
You smiled at Joe before the two of you swam back up to shore. â(Y/N),â Joe said slowly. âWhere are your clothes?â You looked up at the sand to see that the pile of your clothes was not where you had left it. Neither were Joeâs.
âWhere are your clothes?â you said back. âDid we drift down the shore?â
âNo, thatâs our fire right there,â he said.
âWhere did everyone go?â
âIâm gonna beat Casparâs ass.â
Laying where your clothes were supposed to be was a large sleeping bag. âWhat do we do?â you said, shaking slightly. You couldnât tell if you were cold, angry, anxious, or all of the above.
âYou can have the sleeping bag,â Joe muttered. âIâll figure something out.â
âIâm not gonna let you freeze all naked overnight!â you protested.
âWell what other option do we have?â
So thatâs exactly what you did. You crawled into the sleeping bag, which thankfully was big enough for two. Joe hesitantly crawled in beside you, turning on his side so he wasnât facing you. âIâm sorry about this,â Joe mumbled. âI have to learn to stop telling Caspar my secrets.â
âWhat do you mean?â you asked. You were facing him, even though his back was to you.
He sighed, âI mightâve told Caspar that I have a ridiculously large crush on you.â
You were quiet. Your jaw dropped a bit as you processed what he had said. âIâm sorry,â he said again. âNow this is probably just really fucking awkward.â Before you even really knew what you were doing, you laid your hand on his shoulder, urging him to turn to face you. When he did, you softly pressed your lips against his. The kiss didnât last very long, but when you pulled away, Joeâs cheeks were pink.
âI may have a ridiculously large crush on you too,â you teased back. Joe laughed and pressed a small kiss to your lips again.
âCaspar planned this all along didnât he?â Joe said with a roll of his eyes.
âHe had good intentions,â you laughed, âbut I still hope you beat his ass in the morning.â
