Neil Armstrong is the first man to touch the Moon. Buzz Aldrin is the second man to touch the Moon. What did it take to be the first among the two? Buzz Aldrin could have argued to come out of the LEM and touch the surface first. Had that happened he would have been the first man to touch the Moon. They were following strict protocols. That requires high morale and maturity. But there was one another Man part of that mission-Apollo 11 who had the highest morale, maturity. He had made the highest sacrifice to have agreed to be in the service module revolving around the Moon's orbit. Though an integral part of the Apollo 11 mission but rarely recognized as one. Michael Collins passed away today on 28th of April 2021 at an age of 90. I admired him the most for the sacrifices he had made in that mission. He has always been my inspiration. His achievements will stay in our hearts forever. And my respect for him will always be the highest of the three astronauts.
