I heard this word for the first time when I listened to 'Teenage Lobotomy' by the Ramones. Very creepy.
repeat after me: rho-do-den-dron
this is one of my absolute favourite words of the English language! It sounds so sweet and innocent.
one swallow does not make a summer do not think that the troubles of life are over because you have sorted out one difficulty.

Niente. Sto studiando storia.

I wander'd lonely as as a cloud    That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd,    A host of golden daffodils, Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine    And twinkle on the Milky Way, They stretch'd in never-ending line    Along the margin of the bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they    Outdid the sparkling waves in glee: -- A poet could not but be gay    In such a jocund company! I gazed, and gazed, but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought.
For oft, when on my couch I lie    In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye    Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.
The name Darjeeling is a composition of 'dorje', meaning 'thunderbolt' and 'ling' meaning 'place': the land of the thunderbolt. In this region Darjeeling teas are produced. The flavor of these black teas can include a tinge of astringent tannic characteristics, and a musky spiciness sometimes described as "muscatel". I discovered this word last autumn, when I went to London with a friend. We went to have tea at Harrod's and this one was on the list.
