Edward Gorey (1925 – 2000) was an American writer, Tony Award-winning costume designer, and artist, noted for his own illustrated books as well as cover art and illustration for books by other writers.

Gorey's illustrated (and sometimes wordless) books, with their vaguely ominous air and ostensibly Victorian and Edwardian settings, have long had a cult following.

The Amphigorey book series by Edward Gorey includes books Amphigorey, Amphigorey Too, Amphigorey Also, and Amphigorey Again, the covers of which I show above.

When it was constructed, it was considered a marvel of military architecture that incorporated the latest developments in defensive protection against artillery. Today, it is one of France's most impressive and evocative castle ruins.

This was created with initial input from a couple of Scopeworks saved images from source material I had selected. I manipulated and layered images in Adobe Photoshop Elements editor and inserted the result in a "frame" I'd also created. It'd look nice on a wall, say, blown up to 24" x 24". I would think.
