First of all, we all know A/B/O came from supernatural fanfiction writers. Kripke, the original writer of supernatural, cited On The Road by Jack Kerouac as one of the major influences of supernatural. Jack Kerouac belonged to a group of influential 50s poets called 'The Beat Generation' that advocated for gay rights, drug demystification, and other progressive ideals, who all met in Columbia University. Columbia University used to be called King's College, which was built under the jurisdiction and ideals of King George the 2nd, son of King George the 1st. George I ruled the Duchy and Electorate of Brunswick-Lüneburg, which was an electorate of the Holy Roman Empire. The Holy Roman Empire, of course, was originated by Charlemagne, a king of Franks who gained control of the Roman Empire. And well.... There you are. And you could go back even farther. If you wanted, you could then turn around and go forward once again, and tie it to Judaism, Jesus, Catholicism, and then back to supernatural through the religious imagery.... What I'm saying is that somehow, A/B/O is the catch-all, the crux of the universe.
