Sometimes I think... but then i forget

“Right, right, gotcha! Oh man, look at that guy! I’ve never seen a business man with that kind of hairdo before! Is that legal? It shouldn’t be legal!” This isn’t looking at the road, buddy.

“Did you know I was almost arrested once? It was really scary!”

“The only thing that should be illegal is you driving!!” She was gonna die here. “You were what?? What happened?? Did you hit someone!” Her eyes widened. “With a car!! Is this a car crime??”

“Hee?~ How come you know how old I am? The roses is actually the only thing hiding the old scent from me, unlike the creep there tries to call himself my brother. Smelling like dust and rotten tomatoes,” He tried to set his heels into the ground, calling out after his childhood friend in a pathetic try to have someone save him from the drowning death.

“I am pretty? You would ruin the styling in my hair, plus.. Do you really want Secchan, the screaming banshee after you?”

“Probably because yer only a year older then me?” He made a face of disgust. That was just gross to think about. “Ya barely even smell like roses.” Koga lifted Ritsu up and tossed him over his shoulder. “Ugh, ya need to eat more, there aint no weight to ya.”

“He just sent me to deliver your clothes,“ he said. He could already hear Shu yelling at him and Rei for the marks on his skin. “He’ll yell even more if you mark him up too. Luckily we don’t have a live coming up.“

And even if they did, their clothes would easily hide the marks. He let out a small giggle when Rei kissed the tip of his nose. “You’re not that old though, just a year older than Oshi-san. And you always have energy when the moon comes up.”

Gently he flopped down on Mika and licked one of his bitemarks. “He yells but I know he enjoys it~ as do you~ Alas he no doubt expects you back soon so I shall admit defeat for today~ thank you for delivering this package for me~ Though if you could be so kind help this old man back to his coffin.”

He smiled softly at Mika. “That I do, you would know wouldn’t you~ shame the moon isn’t up now.” He teased before he nipped down on Mika’s pale skin for one final time. Never hard enough to draw blood. Marks that were easy to heal made Shu huff less.

“Sora! I… What? Eeeeeeeh?? I fell asleep?? Really? You didn’t wake me? …You didn’t draw on my face, did you?” Just because that’s something you’d do…

“Huh? Should Sora have? Leo-san looked so peaceful that Sora thought it would be better to let him sleep!! He can grab a market though!! He’s never drawn on Leo-san’s face but he can if you want him too!!”

‘‘Ah, doggie, it’s you. It’s chocolate ice cream so you can’t eat it anyways. Me? I’m eating it because I wanted to be outside, but just being outside is too warm. So I brought this to help me cool down.’‘

A hum left him, leaning against the other to use him as a makeshift pillow.

“I ain’t a dog, so don’t frickin’ call me that. If ya keep eatin’ so much yer jus’ gonna get sick. And clearly if ya need to eat that many it’s not workin’.” Koga grumbled when Ritsu leaned against him. Because it was hot out, he didn’t want another person so close to him.

“I’m not daft, at least I wouldn’t describe myself as such. Do I need permission to touch you?“ He asked. He didn’t understand why but if that’s what he said then it must be true. He still reached out the rest of the way to cup his cheeks though, without asking permission.

“I don’t understand, I killed you. I remember squeezing your throat until you died, I was sure of it,“ he said, inspecting him closely. “But it’s really you. How did you survive that? Did I make a mistake?“

The best mistake he ever made then. He hadn’t wanted to kill him and he hadn’t! He was still alive, still breathing! “On equal ground? I never assumed as much, you are my Master after all. You created me and brought me to life! Though, it didn’t go as it was supposed to.”

He knew more than the dolls were supposed too, born with intelligence instead of having to learn like the others did. He knew that the sacrifice had died with negative emotions, they were not a willing sacrifice. Which is what lead to this, that was what had corrupted him.

He moved Mika’s hands off of him. “Yes. You need permission to touch me!” He took a step back. He did not want to be touched by those hands. Not when they had been wrapped so tightly around his neck at one point. “As If I would allow myself to be killed in such a manner. You are not as smart as you think you are.’’

Eyeing Mika he looked at the cracks and scowled. Such a shame. It was unfortunate Shu would be unable to fix those marks. They were charming in their own way, but still a mare on his perfection. 

“I pretended to stop breathing and made myself pass out so you would let go. It was clear you had no intention of harming me pass that so I figured my odds of surviving were high.”

Eventually Leo slowed down because he made a turn into a more narrow street with a lot more pedestrians milling about and he turned to look at Ruka, a mischievous grin on his face. “Hey, hey, hey! Did you die? Did you die? I killed you! WAHAHAHAH!! Oh no!!”

She looked over at Leo, a small frown on her face. “ALMOST!” Wah every car ride with Leo brought her so close to death they might as well be tea buddies. “Keep your eyes on the road! The last thing we need is for you to go to jail for running someone over!!”

“I’m taking you home, you can keep resting. You deserve it, you work so hard after all,“ he said, smiling when Mao nuzzled him. “Do you want me to take you home or to my house? It’s pretty late so we might wake up your parents if we go to your house.“

They lived right next door to each other so it wasn’t too much of a hassle to go to either. But at least with Ritsu’s house they wouldn’t be disturbing anyone since his family was pretty much nocturnal anyway.

“Mhmm.” He mumbled as he drifted back off to sleep for a few moments before jolting back awake. “I want to stay with you...” He yawned and tried to keep his eyes open. They felt so heavy it was a real challenge. “What if you get cold if I leave?” He held on tight to Ritsu to steady himself as he moved a bit.

Staying over at Ritsu’s didn’t bother him. Made it easier to wake the older male up in the morning, it theory anyway. Sometimes it just made Ritsu even more clingy and stubborn.

“You’re very lame. You changed a lot, you use to be really cool,“ Ritsu said. Even Corgi agreed that Rei was cooler last year. Definitely not now, with how he always whined and complained about being old.

He started humming lightly to the song that was playing as Lady and Tramp shared spaghetti. “Take it back, I don’t want your love.”

“I haven’t really. I still like the same things, do the same things. I’m just... tired. All the time. Because I’m so old, you can’t expect me to be as wild as i was last year when I’m already pushing ninety.”

He sighed and shook his head. “Sorry little prince but I have a strict no refund policy. So I’m afraid you’re stuck with my love for the rest of your life~’’

“Well, you certainly are~” Eichi chuckled. His next question caused a blush to blossom on his cheeks anew and he shook his head. “I have… Have not. Unless my nanny when I was a child counts, or the nurses in the hospital.”

“In a way i’m sure it counts~ in a way it doesn’t. Alas it seems I’ll be taking your first time~” It was unclear if Wataru knew what he was doing by phrasing his words like that. His expression not changing at all. “Did you already wash your hair Eichi~ I can give you a hand as well since you will be assisting me with mine, I can also wash your back if you would like~?”

“Can you really keep holding it off though? Won’t his family get mad?“ He asked. Not that he was complaining, he wanted to stay home. But he also knew that this probably wouldn’t end well. “Mother might yell at you too.“

“Are you going out later? I want cupcakes and pocky,“ he said. He wanted cupcakes for a while but didn’t feel like baking. Plus, this would kind of be like old times, when Rei would bring him sweets home even though he wasn’t suppose to eat them with how sick he was.

“Of course I can. I will keep holding it off until you are happily mated to someone you want to be. Then I will arrange for them to marry one of the omega’s in the branch family. A few of them have been hoping for a status raise so that will be a good opportunity for them.” He wouldn’t allow just anyone to take his little brother, they had to prove themselves to Rei first.

“If she yells at me. I will yell back, Who is she to yell at me when it is my job to make decisions in the family. I don’t like to dismiss the words of an omega considering I am one, but since I am... a *Alpha*. She can not speak to me the same way she speaks to you.”

He nuzzled Ritsu. “I am, What flavor pocky would you like. I can grab you more then one. As well as some of those fuzzy drinks you like so much.”

“You hafta stay cute always, okay, Ruka? You gotta!” If being cute and adorable and perfect - Leo added a few of those words himself - was what kept her from getting in bad trouble with daddy, then of course she had to keep being cute and adorable and perfect. “But I’m gonna be worried anyway, I think. But I’m super glad too. It’s weird.”

“Okay!! I’ll make sure to always stay super cute forever!!” She wasn’t sure how to do that, but it seemed important to her brother so she would do it. Maybe her mom would know how? She would ask her about cuteness tips later. “I don’t understand what you mean!! But I’m happy your glad!!”

“A bar? Tsumugi, are you drunk?” Eichi was already getting up, grabbing the apartment keys and his jacket. “Can you tell me where you are? I’ll come meet up with you, okay?”

“drunk... no I don’t think so. Either way it’s nothing you should worry over. I’d hate to disturb you...” He took a moment to look around his surroundings. “Oh... where am I? I can’t say I recognize this street. I’m by... a video store?”
