Kaiki hears the chime from his phone and picks it up. He hadn’t the slightest idea who it could be, he could say he was surprised to see it was from Suruga Kanbaru. He reads the details of the text and stares at the phone for awhile. He closes it soon after and soon starts to wonder what could she possibly need from him so soon? Especially after he had just assisted her. Oh well, there was no choice but to go to the location specified and see what she needs. 

In like form, Kanbaru arrives at the train station, allowing herself roughly ten or so minutes before the appointed time so she at least won’t arrive late. With her back against a pillar near the waiting area, she stands with her arms crossed, her right foot raised against it.

She merely bides the time by observing the cycle of passengers boarding and exiting the train, not giving much thought to the exact time. But, having sensed that she had been there for a while, she gives an indignant huff on seeing him come into view from the corner of her eye.

"I just helped you out not to long ago, it was even free of charge. I am surprised that you already need my help." Was he really surprised at this? Not really, he knew it would come around again he just didn't think it would happen so soon.

She presses send, staring at the screen with such a look of disbelief. Because, really, she can hardly believe she, of all things, sent a message expressing interest in hiring that man. Of all things, she cannot believe she’s relying on his help for a certain matter.

Among others she knew, she hoped those people most specifically were okay in all this mess. Still, there rest the feeling in the pit of her stomach that something awful was happening to them — yet she was helpless to do anything about it.

"A remarkable person that calls itself the Devil."

"Now it’s not like in that religion thing, this Devil is good. It helps out those in need, and relieves them of their problems."

"But you know? It’s not easy to get into contact with it. Only three ways, and each harder than the previous one."

｢θ｣ — “Hmm… I fail to see the drawbacks of having been forcibly returned to this city. It’s a shame that such muscles don’t exist in the world I came from, yep.”

—“Maybe we can find a closet or something.”
