I can't show you much without spoilers, but at least let me tell you how we organise things!

(okey maybe a little tiny bit of spoilers)

Firstly, our rough outline contains the events of the whole fic in order, along with a neat timeline to make sure everything makes sense. We already had this before, but we've made it a bit more detailed and added more sections for concepts and ideas that we need to keep in mind. It's neat to have it all in one place!

ANYWAY

I also have some "cut content" that I plan to show you next, alternatives and crack scenes of previous chapters. I'll post them along with our line of thought behind the decisions we made about them in the future ^^.

Reminder: we took the hiatus to plan it all out better and prepare the upcoming chapters ahead of time, so we haven't been idle!

Since the Interlude came out, we have noticed weird-looking comments popping up under it, which is kinda worrying.

Those two are the most obvious, but the one above is also suspicious:

This makes 3/5 comments on the Interlude AI. It worries us not just because there's bots on Eclipse, but also as this could mean our fic is being fed to the AI to train it without our consent. We are strongly against AI in creative works made by HUMANS, and we had heard before that this was happening in Ao3. Authors are making their blogs private (accesible only to those with an account) to fight this, but we didn't want to do it because we know that guests also read our fic (there are human guests commenting on other chapters) and would hate to hinder their access to it.

Sadly, we don't really know what else to do, now that it's here. We've been putting it off, but at least until the fic is back from the hiatus we should make it private. I know this will affect guests who might want to re-read it or even prevent some new people from finding it, but we're just out of options. Making an account is a bit different than the usual, but it is viable. I am truly sorry.

During this summer we'll be uploading the Interlude between Part 2 and Part 3, which consists of an important reveal and a hint of what's coming next >:3.

After that, we'll unfortunately have to go on a hiatus. To be clear, it's not a normal hiatus— it's no break, as we'll be using this time to change how we make chapters ready.

Up until now, we had planned out an outline of the whole fic (along with a timeline, worldbuilding, characterization details, etc) and I would write chapter by chapter just by that, discussing the details with Nyx when necessary; on the go. 

This framework did work at the time, but our lifestyles have changed and now it is no longer sustainable. This is why it's been so much time between chapters.

Thus, we are taking some time to rework the whole framework. The fic itself will not be changed one bit, but we will make sure to have at least a rough draft for each remaining chapter by the time we start uploading again. This way, I will only have to fancy them out before they're ready, so uploads will be more consistent no matter how busy we are.

We have not set ourselves a fixed time limit to accomplish this, although I would like to have it done in a year. I cannot promise anything, but I hope you can keep being as patient as you've been all this time. Thank you very much!
