This is a fan blog dedicated to giving more Kagekao content to the Tumblr CRP community. I take requests and suggestions, but do know that this is all done for fun and I do not have a set schedule for when I will post. All original posts will be tagged with #kageblog.
I take requests to write/draw Kagekao on his own, x male/masc readers (which is surely going to be the majority), and with other characters (including ocs!).
When it comes to requests that include other characters I'll prioritize those that aren't given much of the spotlight as I think they deserve.

When it comes to requests, please try to limit yourself.
Try to only send in 3 at a time and either wait for me to get them done or for a while to pass.
Themes that fall under proship such as assault or abuse will get you an instant deletion and ban. This also means that I refuse to write anything about Offenderman or characters like him and any attempts to request him will lead to the same result.
When it comes to NSFW, I'm not comfortable with it. The most I can do is suggestive stuff but you aren't getting any smut out of me. Gore n stuff is fine with me though!
And it should be a no brainer but this ain't a safe space for any bigotry, terfs, misogynists, etc. We don't welcome hatred in this space!

He actually mirrors me a lot, considering he's probably my closest OC (not a self-insert though, more like a.. Idk, imaginary friend that gets influenced by you? idk) we both also went from "straight" to gay to bi lol.
Yankee suwari is definitley Kage's default idle animation. Idk if there's an English term for this, but in Japanese, we call it yankee suwari ヤンキー座り which means 'delinquent sit' I think.
Btw, almost every time I draw a random picture of Kage like this, it's because I'm testing something. In this one, I'm testing 'splotch random colours on him in the same value.' You can see some reds and greens where they normally wouldn't be. I like it, but I should've went harder with it lol.

BTW for anyone who comes by to be transphobic and weird, don't bother cause I just block and move on.
Kagekao probably didn't know anything about being trans, or queer in general, until after his first contact with humans.
Kagekao was born a rebellious spirit and it wasn't long until he started trying on modern masculine outfits, cutting his hair, and binding with bandages (DONT DO IT BTW KAGEKAO IS A DEMON SO IT PROBABLY AFFECTS HIM DIFFERENTLY)
Before Kagekao moved to America, I bet he found some sort of yokai or spirit that could give him gender affirming surgery. He could've been able to skip out on the scars but said he wanted them, but with a cool look of course. Now he has claw scratch shaped top surgery scars and says he did it himself.
Kagekao loves seeing the celebration of pride in America and especially loved being able to do more research into being trans and the queer community.
After meeting the other pastas, he truly felt like he belonged somewhere from how many of them were queer themselves.
He always observed the pride parades from afar, looking out for anyone who came by to ruin the fun or getting too rowdy, but never participated for... obvious reasons.
When he met the orhers he finally took part, of course with a disguise. He was never more happy than he was in that moment.

Oh dw he has ears LMAO, just in a lot of pictures they're either covered by the band on his mask, his scarf being fluffed up, or his hood up. Because he usually has his hood up. (Thank you, btw!) I'm still deciding between 'normal' ears and pointed ears, though. I might go with pointed because of the kitty cat connection.

Some of my hobbies include gardening, if you couldn't already tell lol, baking, sewing, coffees, teas, and vintage! I have a massive collection of dolls, both antiques and handmade by yours truly. This is an ask blog for my OC Buddy based around the comic series I plan to make for him. If you wanna send me, the creator, an ask on this blog you can tag it with To Alucard or smth like that.
I've got a busy life so I won't always be able to respond to all the asks with doodles or images, but I'll try to!
Buddy and his comic both contain general horror themes such as blood, gore, death, decay, body horror, and darker themes like obsession, stalking, manipulation, etc.
They won't be super frequent on his blog as they are in the comic, but please keep it in mind if you are sensitive to the topics.
In general, I consider his media 18+ for all the darker themes and gore.
If you wanna interact with him or his media there are a couple rules/boundaries that I have for him.
PLEASE don't call Buddy a yandere nor associate him with the genre.
Don't infantilize or romanticize his actions. You can call him cute and say you wanna fix him, but if you're out here being like "I want him to manipulate and abuse me." I'm gonna ask you to stop and likely block you.
Pro/Darkshippers, I know I won't be able to avoid y'all. You can like him if you want but if you're gonna go against my wishes and freak over him PLEASE keep it in y'all's spaces at least. This means no posting it in any of the Buddy media tags.
While he is a serial killer and has some darker themes, and I'm fine with headcanons, please don't go wild and headcanon that he does some super heinous stuff like r@pe or anything like that. Also, not saying those type of slasher characters can't exist! I'm just not comfortable with Buddy being that type.

I totally get the thing about Sully; he's a very finicky character to do right (especially since his very existence is super flawed). With that in mind, could I substitute for a bit of Kagekao and Liu? Or perhaps Kagekao and Eyeless Jack?
Aw man, Liu I'm not entirely sure. I never really got into him that much in the fanon days of old.
Even nowadays he's pretty much untouched territory for me so I'm just gonna go for EJ. Maybe I'll try writing smth for Liu later, we'll see.

This EJ is based loosely off of general fanon and some aspects of my own personal headcanons.
Kagekao got to meet EJ during one of the latter's supply runs. Kageako was just hanging around, bored out of his mind, when he spotted the monsterous humanoid from afar.
It'd came to his attention he'd never really interacted with that one before, mostly due to EJ staying off his radar from how quiet and introverted he is, but today was an especially boring one for Kagekao so nobody was safe.
- I think the start of a closer relationship would be some sort of one sided rivalry to friends to ???? and then lovers.
- They end up hanging out, talking about humanity, stuff like that. They bond more and more, become friends, and at some point Kagekao finds himself genuinely liking the time spent with EJ.
- Pretty much what happened is that Kagekao went in with the intent to annoy and ragebait, as he usually does, but EJ never really reacted. Kagekao grew a bit more curious about EJ because of this and started hanging around him more, trying to observe and learn how to push his buttins for a reaction.
- Neither of them bring it up really but their hang outs start to become more and more personal, having sleepovers often while drinking wine and binge watching media.
- Kagekao initiated the first romantic gesture, wasted on wine of course, when he made a comment of EJ's mask. "So why do you wear it all the time? Is it fused to your face?" EJ takes it off to show that it isn't and Kagekao reached over to hold his cheek. "You should leave it off, around me at least. I like seeing you."
- EJ used that interaction against Kagekao often. They're very much a silent genius and chaotic genius type of pair, the difference being EJ has more emotional maturity and patience.
- They were hanging around in EJ's lab one day. Jack was reorganizing while Kagekao kept messing with things. Tired of his antics, EJ stops and tries to get him to talk about himself. "So why do you wear a mask all the time?" Usually Kagekao wastes no time talking about himself, but this question seemed to hit a bit more personal. He was about to apologize but before he could get it out Kagekao began to speak. He explained where he came from, why he has to wear the mask, everything. It ended in EJ taking off his own mask and holding him, which then led to Kagekao hesitantly raising up his mask enough to show his mouth and smile. Baby steps.
- The reason why Kagekao felt safe enough to do such a thing around EJ is because of his calm demeanor and the trusting bond that had formed between them. Kage knows EJ at this point and knows that he would never share such a personal secret with anyone unless Kagekao said otherwise. Despite this, his inner voice continues to keep him from sharing his full face with EJ, for now.
- The two were bonded stronger from the moment and it wasn't long until the question came up, from EJ surprisingly enough. "I'm closing up the infirmary early today. Wanna go out?" He asked it so casually, as if they were already dating for years. He accepted the offer though and EJ brought him to a nice spot that served plenty of fancy wines. His wallet wept that night but he was happy to see Kagekao happy.
- EJ stuck to his side on the way back to the mansion, Kagekao stopping them right before they walked up to the entrance. He lifts up EJ's mask fully, holding his face. "Didn't I tell you to keep your mask off around me?" EJ scoffed and tapped Kagekao's. "Aren't you a hypocrite?" Kagekao laughed, making him laugh too, before suddenly lifting up his own mask slowly. "I suppose I should repay you for that wine and dine." Before he could say anything about Kagekao's face he was silenced with a kiss.
Kagekao doesn't exactly like humans but he doesn't despise them. He finds them about as interesting as we do parasites. We like to know how they work and find their methods of survival intersting, but most still find them disgusting and wouldn't want to be near them at all.
I think when Kagekao was young and dumb he'd sneak out to watch humans more closely, learning about them and what their lives are like. He always wondered why they did the things they did.
I'm sure his family, especially his parents, weren't too happy by how wreckless and curious he was.
Kagekao might find some humans endearing, but not in the way we find animals endearing. He sees naive or trusting humans as like "Aww! You think that kindness towards anything and anyone is going to make your life full of joy and optimism! How pathetic." and then he bullies them.
He tries to find humans he knows are easy targets to ragebait, thats a given with his troll behavior, but he also loves someone he can manipulate and push around. I think if Kagekao met early days CRP community we'd all be dead.
When it comes to especially angry people who he can fight with, they're his favorite. He loves a good brawl! But the moment they land a hit on him he snaps and he just has to kill them before the news get out.
He has a love/hate relationship with humanity, but he adores what they create. He likes some of their food, but especially wine. Probably the best invention they ever used their overrated brains for. He also doesn't mind some of their clothing, especially scarves and other accessories. They help him blend in easy while looking cool, making finding new targets a breeze.

How did Kagekao grow up? Like- where did he grow up? Did he grow up with humans, or is there like a secret demon society? What about his parents, were his parents there while growing up?
Also, why did he move to the states?

Honestly his backstory is probably going to get some reworking as I work with him more, so I'll probably retcon some of the older stuff I've written years ago. Buuut what's solid is that he did grow up in Japan with mostly interactions with other demons (demons are dangerous to humans, but humans are also dangerous to demons. Humans outnumber them and have the more 'public' society) perhaps some small interactions with humans, both friendly and hostile. (He's chill with you if he doesn't want anything from you and you're chill back, so he's undoubtedly met some chill humans in his time. But he's also a jerk who likes stealing and messing with people, so, lol.) He was that up-to-no-good teenager who'd steal everything and anything not nailed down.
There's definitley a secret demon society in my universe haha, lurking in the shadows. Kind of an open secret in a way? Like a lot of humans know they exist, but the 'official' statement from the society is they don't and are just urban legends that a lot of people believe and a lot of others don't. (Probably to keep people focused on the rat race and paying taxes TBH, or denying them because a common response to fear/the unusual is to cover your eyes and pretend they don't exist) A lot of demons, those who can disguise themselves or pass as humans, also pretend to be human and live normal lives. Kage was never into that, though, he thinks that's boring.
(Kind of working out the deal with his parents, but I'm fairly certain they're still in Japan and they stay in contact occasionally. They're good to each other (although they don't always approve of Kage's almost-getting-killed and almost-always-up-to-no-good ways lol))
Kage travelled to amerca mostly out of curiosity and to see more of the world. There are a lot of different kinds of demons/creatures in north america and he was very interested. (Like japan has youkai and yuurei, America has creatures like the dogman, bigfoot, mothman, etc) although he still goes back and forth when he wants to.
