excuse my autism

This is sort of a newer thing we discussed about AB, but his accent that he puts on is not at all his real accent. He hams it up to sound rich and fancy- something Simon encouraged- but he actually never spent much time around his dad, the British one, so his accent is very weak and almost non-existent. He and his sisters sound more American like his mom. It's such a silly detail but it brings a bit of charm to his character I think.

While on the topic of Cadavras, actually, I'm also going to mention that Abe runs a funeral home with his wife Maggie and two out of three of their sons (Phillip and Wesley, the two youngest) end up working there as well. Nate follows his Aunt Nettie and Uncle James into the medical field.

I'm on a Draw Dead roll right now so Simon gets a turn too: he's insanely unobservant in a way that makes him seem self absorbed because he IS. If something isn't directly affecting him, he doesn't notice. Subtle changes in behavior? No reaction. Outbursts of emotion? Now you've got his attention. There's a reason Allie felt neglected in their marriage- well, probably several- and it's because he just didn't seem to ever care. He loved her, he genuinely did, but he did a HORRIBLE job showing it. On the night Allie kisses AB, Simon doesn't pick up on Allie's mood changing at all, but AB does. He recognizes she's upset and goes to comfort her while Simon is just standing there wondering where she went. I need to hit him over the head with a rock GODDDD he makes me MAD. (But I still love him..)

This is just a DD yap fest now sorry I just love the Cadavras and their families so much... This one's more silly but Mary and Beth (twins) were super close growing up and wanted to do everything together including getting married and having kids, so they practically begged AB to set them up with some of his rich friends at a party and he did. What they don't know is that their current husbands- Louis and Daniel- weren't just guys who strolled up to them randomly, they were picked by AB and pre-shovel talked because he does NOT play about his little sisters. He's very proud of the matches.

Alex used to have a boyfriend named Dexter/Dex but we genuinely haven't brought him up in ages, I think he died. He used to be Alex's childhood friend from the orphanage they were both at. Dex was deemed too rambunctious and a "bad kid" and ended up just aging out rather than being adopted like Alex was. I don't remember if they stayed in touch or if Alex found him again after he moved out of Allie and AB's place, but in the original lore they opened a circus together and lived very long and happy lives.
