one argument you often see about fanfiction is that it's like 'training wheels' writing? like 'oh it's fine to do that while you're still learning, it's easier than coming up with your own ideas'. and I have to say I have just never agreed with that.

as a former escape room host i highly recommend doing an escape room as a first date. its a great way to learn how ppl react under pressure and how well they collaborate with you right off the bat. also more than once ive seen people enter an escape room as a couple and exit broken up LOL its a fantastic litmus test

I tried makeup for a while in college but I could tell it was actually making my dysphoria *worse* because I'd feel alright about myself but then take it off at the end of the day and I'd see my face without makeup and suddenly be hit by how ugly I felt without it and I was like oh. this doesn't seem healthy. so I swore it off and threw it all out and now my bare face doesn't really bother me anymore. I want to feel good about myself at all hours of the day, actually

The young justice cartoon is lowkey my favourite depiction of captain marvel purely because he acts like a ten year old and never anything BUT a ten year old. (Plus everyone keeps either misinterpreting what he says as some sort of odd wizard wisdom (it’s not, he just does not know how to behave) or brutally side-eyeing him and I imagine that’s exactly how that situation would play out). Let’s not even begin to pretend Billy even knows how adults are supposed to act, let alone pulls it off on a daily basis, bro only gets a pass cause his whole concept is baffling anyway.
