Hey👉🏾👈🏾🥺I know I know...I went on an unannounced hiatus. But, I have reasons why. From the date of my last post which was the 24th of March until now, SO MUCH has happened.

Firstly, I had to attend an event with the association I'm a part of at uni(it was so much fun btw—i love seeing those ladies) then shortly after that, I was called for an interview for a job I applied for a little while ago. So I haaaad to prepare for that interview and luckily, I GOT THE JOB YAAAY! And on the day I found out I got the job, I also found out I was accepted for an internship I also applied for (I honestly thought they'd ghosted me). In between all of this business, I STILL had assignments to submit. Luckily, I already submitted an assignment that was due this Wednesday, so I'm free for the week, but I'm still behind with the rest of the content from my modules. So juggling a new job, an internship AND school has been such a rocky journey (and it's only about to begin), but I am handling things well. Honestly, all credit goes to God because I did not think I would have been where I am today if it wasn't for Him. So thank you God🙏🏾

Training for the new job begins this week, so I am going to be INCREDIBLY busy, so I might only come here like ONCE a week. I'm not even sure. And to make matters worse, exam season is coming very soon, as in from next month. Am I prepared? Nope. Am I gonna pass the semester? WITHOUT.A.DOUBT!

Please forgive me, I hope these reasons suffice for my absence, but also prepare for you any possible hiatus because things are about to get REAL SERIOUS and SCARY!

After seven hours of staring at this tablet and my notes, which were INCREDIBLY long, I managed to understand at least half of what I was reading today. My brain is fried but at least my study bunny is happy. :/

It's just after 12 am, so I'm gonna head off to sleep. The only reason I was even able to stay up this late was because of an energy drink I had. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied with the work I did today. Day 1 of Operation: Save the Semester DONE!✅

Morning everyone. It's just after 8 am and I woke up to the sound of rain. Talk about a perfect morning on a Monday. As we approach the colder season(my favourite season) here in SA, we've been getting a lot more rain than usual. I'm not complaining though.

Today, in fact this week, a lot + a miracle has to happen. I have to catch up on some notes for all my modules. We're more than halfway through the semester and in one of my modules, I barely have any notes. I had the "bright idea" of doing my readings (including cases that I need to read and summarize) during the week, then during the weekends I catch up on notes I need to make. I thought by doing this, it would allow me to recall all the work I did during the week and to see whether I understood what I read. Because I deal with theory-heavy modules, I NEED to make notes so that I understand the work that I'm doing. And because I'm not perfect, I literally went a few days without touching my books. For someone who wants distinctions in all my modules, my actions are often questionable. :(

Nonetheless, I want to catch up on as much as possible before exam season. So, I wanna start a short series called Operation: Save the Semester. So, for the duration of the semester, I want to dedicate almost everyday to my schoolwork, through readings, note taking, active recall and all the pretty stuff. I think we have a whole month left until I have to take my exams, so I plan to redeem myself at least so my marks are somewhat presentable when I see them. I hope y'all understand. It may seem a bit unrealistic, but I am going to take intentional steps toward saving the semester. Firstly, I need to be honest with what I know and what I don't then we go from there.

Okay, this post is getting too long. I'm gonna go make some Rooibos tea (my favourite), journal and make a to-do list and then see what I can tackle for today. I don't like planning a whole week, but I think I'll have to do so to see how much work I can fit in each day.

So, I decided to start this blog impulsively. I honestly might regret it and delete this profile, or even forget about it over time (hopefully not). I've been on Tumblr for a few years now but never really cared for my profile. Anyways, the reason for this blog is to sort of capture the 'behind the scenes' of my life, with a strong emphasis on my academics (to keep myself accountable). Basically what IG (I don't even have posts omg) or WhatsApp doesn't see, I post here :). I don't have any desire to be seen or be very popular on this page. I will try and post a few times a week, but I CANNOT promise anything. This is simply for my enjoyment and as a small record of my life behind the lens so I'm really excited to start this journey.

Now, let me formally introduce myself. I'm Kazi (derived from my second name: Ntandokazi, which means 'love' or something like that idk). I'm from South Africa and I'm 20 years old. I'm a law student (2nd year) and I LOVE being indoors and ANYTHING cozy related. I don't think you guys understand how much I love being indoors. However, I've come to realise that it has its flaws (I won't mention them, I'm a bit lazy). I love reading, journaling, and sketching, among other things. I am a firm believer of Jesus Christ and I'm just trying my very best everyday.

I hope we get to be friends! Anyways, it's around 10 pm, so I gotta go to sleep. (chronicles of being a morning person). Hope you have a good start to your week. See ya soon💋
