The Modern Compendium is a project dedicated to cataloging the vast number of new figures of belief and worship that have grown up in the last couple of hundred years. Definitions of demonic families are included, as many have changed. We assume no responsibility for corrupted data, fusion errors, or accidental injuries that may occur with relation to these demons.
Deity Family
A demon family dedicated to modern gods hidden in plain sight. With strong connections to the holidays that we celebrate on a society-wide scale, Deity family demons gather belief even from self-professed non-believers. This grants them an unusually high level of power, allowing them access to some of the most powerful skills and highest all-around stats in the game. Given their connection to the seasons, many of these demons have elemental affinities that center around Fire and Ice.

Undead Family
Throughout history, the Catholic faith has spawned myths that spoke to the faithful of their time, but many of these have been left behind as the church has grown. These stories survive today mostly on the fascination of the faithful, but belief in them has all but dried up. The Undead family continues on in spite of this, fueled by the retellings of people who only half believe them, all of which makes them strangely similar to the Rumor family.
