we are currently witnessing a genocide. this is not a israel-hamas war, this is years of oppression and ethnically cleansing palestinians from their own land. call it what it is: a genocide. gaza is in complete darkness, electricity and communication cut out, and the rest of the world is witnessing everything, the constant airstrikes that has been happening since last night. literal bloodlines are being wiped out, whole generations of children.
those who remain “neutral”, just know that palestinians have the right to defend themselves. if you are blindly claiming to be neutral, just go on the pages that support the israel government; they are baking gluten-free cookies and delivering fresh food for their soldiers, mocking and dehumanizing palestinians, sitting in their new york high rise apartments claiming to be fearing for their lives “because they are jewish.” this is not a war between muslims and jews; this is a fight for land. then you look at palestinian pages; they are holding whatever is left of their dead children in plastic bags, begging the western world to step in and call ceasefire. journalists covering what is happening in palestine are eating scraps of food to survive. if you are blindly claiming to be neutral, just know you have the privilege of educating yourself.
shame on all the world leaders that voted against the ceasefire. you have blood on your hands.
please educate yourself and try to help in anyways you can. boycott, donate, educate others!! please, don’t be silenced. use your platform. no matter how small we may seem as individuals, we are powerful collectively. please pray for all the civilians, palestine, and for ceasefire.
