The hellenistic astrological method (Annual Profections) is, in my opinion, one of the most simple & useful techniques within astrology;
In short, every year of your life will have a specific focus, depending on what house you find yourself in (as well as what the focus was the years passing and the years to come).

Those going through their 1st House Profection year may find themselves experiencing (re)centering of themselves, where they find a need to reinvent themselves. This could be done through a huge change in behavior, their physique and/or style. This is also a year where there is a stronger sense of self, confidence and the native may feel more independent. Setting boundaries, doing things on your own, self trust and other self-centered things may be a huge theme, but not everybody seems to gain as much abundance during this year. Some may find themselves feeling overwhelmed, overly seen/watched and overall too struggling to define who they are.
An example of this house Profection year could be a 24 y/o Taurus Rising who may find themselves feeling more grounded, with a strong sense of reverting or embracing their natural look. They may find themselves appreciating the more simple things in life, as well as healing from the self they were taught to be while moving towards the self they want to be. There are also some taurus rings who may find themselves less guilty to live a lifestyle they’ve felt shamed for wanting. With heightened standards and more indulging in the finer things in life, they may feel this year truly is their year.
Those going through their 2nd House proferation year, may find themselves establishing new (or different) sets of values and question their self worth when it comes to outside factors i.e society.
With the 1H bringing us close to who we truly are, this year centers what that means to us and how that connects with the world around us – This year may have you asking Where do I now fit in after your transformation?
This is where life asks for us to take the steps towards obtaining what we need to establish and maintain the comfort we desire. This is where foundations are laid (or an attempt to lay them).
Furthermore, this is also a year people find themselves more focused on making and saving money. With a higher possibility of monetary abundance, this year may mean more financial stability and obtaining material possessions that may bring you security or a sense of accomplishment.

Those going through their 3rd House proferation year, may find themselves having a strong need for communication – This could be through writing or speeches, but overall self expression is being highlighted. This is a time where many find themselves being able to express themselves better, see things for what they are and being more receptive to what is being communicated to them.
This is also a year where many may find themselves communicating more with their siblings or close friends.
Those experiencing confidence in expressing themselves could go on to becoming the voice many listen to and look towards for advice. This could also be a year where many revert back to projects, topics and research that may not have made sense before but now seem to click

Those going through their 8th House proferation year, may find themselves experiencing (often unexpected) losses. This could be financially, the passing of a relative or ego death.

There is also a huge sense of hopefulness for the future and (sometimes) a bit of delusion. This may be a year of aspiring and building with others. Oppositely, there may be worried about the future, where many find themselves isolating and lacking community because their surroundings are not moving at the same pace. Often, many find that they’ve seen things others have yet to truly understand or contemplate deeper than on a surface level. Those going through their 12th House proferation year, may find themselves diving deeper into their subconscious, finding themselves wanting to heal deeper than what they ever have. This is due to what they may be seeing that has been hidden (by themselves) for a long time.
This is often where things are brought up to light about things that may not have that you were not addressing or haven’t faced head on in the previous years that demand attention now. Depending on how it is handled, it can be a rough year or, oppositely, one of many ‘seeing the bigger picture’ moments, healing and progression.
