The Word is Out!

On S1Ep3 of HBO's "The Franchise", and I have to say, I don't know how most may view it who has no film production experience, but being from the POV of an AD (Assistant Director) on a film franchise, I'm enjoying it very much.

Goofy, but with all the associated distress and distaste of power & shallowness one might expect. :)

From Filmmaker - @JZ_Murdock: While working on (and still now, as I'm making the DVD) "Pvt. Ravel's Bolero" documentary, there was lots of research, which lasted nearly a decade, before making the film. Here is an example. What did they call walkways at the bottom of trenches in WWI, used to cover the mud? "Les passerelles". "Duckboards" (for English speakers). All which does lead one into some very interesting areas and information. It was a journey. Alas... "San fairy duckboard”.

As an independent filmmaker, I am not a member of the WGA, but I stand in solidarity with the writers who are currently on strike. Fair compensation and working conditions are crucial for all creatives, and I support the writers' efforts to secure these rights. The success of the entertainment industry relies on the contributions of writers, and I hope that the parties involved can come to a resolution soon that benefits everyone involved. As an indie filmmaker, I will continue to do my part to ensure that all members of the creative community are respected and valued.
