“Oh- right. Yeah, of course,” he hesitated awkwardly on his uncompleted path before slowly making his way back over to the man. “Look, I didn’t mean to force you into anything. It- the church may work for me, but its not for everyone. I’m afraid Christians don't always see it the same way.” Joseph paused for another strained moment, a short breath leaving his lips. “Do you... ah, would you like to get dinner?” 

“32,741. Good luck, kid.”

although he tends to put his own needs/ideals over others, ultimately Joseph does have good intentions. whether those good intentions do in fact yield good results is a different question altogether. ))

“Well, Cedric,” he gestured towards the church steps, stained glass windows fixed above the doors illuminated by the countless candles behind them, melting their life away to drown in their own undoing. He might find it poetic, if he had ever been allowed to care about such things. “Faith is very important in any man’s life. You’re certainly not old, and its never too late to start,” he nudged him towards the walkway, nodding his head in the direction of the doors. “Come on, couldn’t hurt to get a refresher, right?”
