she been quite      busy      the whole day ,      hadn’t been       had time       to focus      on anything       but       still had a       few minutes     of      the day      to check      in on joshua     but     it seemed     that joshua       was      too busy     to even        give      her two seconds      of      his time .      she was becoming      rather      inpatient       with him      and       had       decided to ignore    him      for       the rest     of      the day.        as she’s making       her way      home ,      she receives       a few        messages       from joshua      and      decides to      pass by .      parking       the car ,      she makes        her way inside      the house       ❛  joshua     ——      josh, where    are      you ? ❜       she’s beyond      annoyed      at this point      and      once     she steps      into      the backyard ,       she sees      the decorations      and        the candles      with every       small little detail .        she turns     to finally      see joshua      ❛    w-what     is      th-his     ? ❜   

Fiona wasn’t exactly looking forward to this dinner with Fiona, but she knew it had to happen. She had to make things right and be honest. She had gone over what she wanted to say a dozen times and her anxious energy had her at the restaurant way too early. So she got a great view of Joshua and Davina walking in, hand in hand. Well this was just great. She put on a brave face though, smiling and nodding as they sat down. “No problem. Thank you, Joshua. You both look nice,” she said, trying to be kind. God, this was going to be torture.

this was new territory ,        there was a time      at the      start       of     their relationship       that she felt like        the other women      but        the moment of realization came    and     she had never been        the other women ,        if anything she       had always        been his     and       he had always        been hers.       she nodded as she hears        his response        to fiona      and     she  delivers       a     small smile ,        taking a seat       before her.       ❛ thank you ,       fiona .       told you that dress       would look        very     good on you . ❜        even though         she hadn’t bought it ,        she had send       it to her house ,        as a gift .       maybe that was         the first step        that she could take ,        in this whole       new friendship      and       do her best ,        to play nice.          ❛ how about       we start        with something        to      drink ? ❜         she smiled       and     turned as        she saw the waiter         ❛ a pleasure        to see you as always ,        enrique . ❜         she scans through       the wine menu         but       then decides        on something         a little lighter         ❛ a pitcher        of        arnold palmers        for the table       and         the usual starters . ❜          she watches as he leaves      and         her gaze turns       to fiona      but        her hand gives       josh’s a         slight squeeze       , trying to        soothe him ,         that everything        was going to          be okay.         ❛ well, i guess .        i just want        to say thank you        for coming       and        —       we both wanted to        tell you something         face to face,  you deserve   that much    as   henry’s    mother    and      instead      of you        hearing it from       someone     else        —- babe ?  ❜         she turns      to joshua       so he      can    ,      proceed.  

in all honest, joshua would’ve happily sat back and let the women speak all night, in fact he had no qualms with the ground swallowing him up and getting him away from this situation. he couldn’t imagine a single person that could be comfortable in a situation like this. he smiled and squeezed davina’s hand back, giving her a grateful look when she ordered something non-alcoholic, it was situations like this that made it difficult for josh to focus on being sober when he wanted nothing more than the comfort of a drink. he cleared his throat and sat up, squirming a little in his seat. “first of all, we’re very appreciative of you letting henry have more time with us, truly fi, it means a lot. secondly, me and davina are engaged.” he spoke, knowing that ripping the band aid off quickly was usually the best option. @ficnawins​

she didn’t think       that this would        happen        (  well ,     she did     but       not anytime       soon  )    , she was       speechless ,      to say     the      least . ❛         this is so amazing       —–        i can’t believe       that you        did it       and          i will overlook       the fact ,        that i wasn’t        there     because ,         why wasn’t       no one        there to take pictures        or        videos      of        this moment ,        so destination wedding       or         are you guys          planning on doing         it here         —– regardless   i call     flower girl        with talia   ?      ❜

she leans into     the kiss with        a small smile tainting       ruby petals      ❛ i’ve been good ,        can’t complain .  ❜     she muses towards him ,      walking inside         the building        but      sevas       and      thiago following        close by ,       always shadowing her .         ❛ it’s going good      but       how about       you —–       mister        “ im getting married “      and        couldn’t even        have         the decency     to       tell me.        you’ve technically       been       balls deep        in me       .        a little text could       have       gone      a     long way .  ❜ 

a low chuckle escapes      his lips    ,    he never had      any siblings       growing up .      joshua was       the closest thing      to that ,       it all been        ruined over some girl       that in the end ,        he was completely       right about .       maybe this      is      why ,     he needs his advice ,       maybe      he’s just lonely    and       he’s using       his    friendship  with     valencia      as a buffer for his       own loneliness.       ❛ no , that’s not       going to happen        anytime soon .      i think that       i learned     my lesson       from     the first time.  ❜       he adds on      with a chuckle   but       continues with     his      prose ,      shortly after.        ❛ valencia     and       myself kissed      at        the twins birthday party      and         i’m afraid that     i       might have ruined      our       friendship. ❜       he wasn’t sure       what to say      but      merely remained        quiet until       joshua speaks       ❛ wait ,       what do      you      have to      tell me .  ❜

things had been       a roller coaster      recently       and      even though       he was okay     with      spending       some time       alone      with     talia    ,     he decided      that      maybe it     was      nice for      his      daughter      to spend time      with       her cousin .       he’s     watching the babies      from the corner     of      his eye ,      as joshua     and      himself were     in       the main kitchen       catching up .       ❛ everything’s      good     ——-       valencia has been     over      for quite        some time ,      just kind      of       giving me a       hand with talia. ❜       he takes       a brief pause      and       looks towards      his      friend .       ❛ i want to       confide     in you     about      something .       just promise      you won’t    ,      freak out     on    me      because     ,     i really need    some      advice . ❜

she had planned     this dinner      with fiona     for        a while      now ,       had decided     to wait      until      after the      jaramillos birthday      because       everything had      been      so much lately.      after telling joshua      about      the dinner ,        he decided that      it was best      to tell her together .       they walk      inside      the restaurant  ,      hand in hand      and     the obvious ring       glistening      with      the dim lights      of     the restaurant.      she looks       towards fiona      and      gives her     a      slight smile      and       takes a seat      right next      to joshua.       ❛ hey , fiona .      i hope      you      don’t mind    ,      I brought      joshua.     ❜ 

“it really isn’t, this is the first time something like this has happened to me.” valencia grinned. “yeah, i was thinking the same thing, but i wasn’t entirely sure. i’ve only ever done some of my stunts on tvb and the ogs, but not all of them.”

“well congratulations then, that’s amazing and i am so very happy for you.” he smiled. “look i wouldn’t worry about it, if you’re not comfortable with stunts then that’s exactly what you tell them. they’ll get you a stunt double. just be open in communication.”

           she has jumped     from avalon     to     the nice guy     and      now ,     she’s arriving     at      some event,      her usual entourage     around       her as she leans      in to      greet the new set     of      people ,     she will     be     partying       with tonight     ,       a         palmwood event.       ❛ hey ,       what’s up     ?  ❜ 

“so apparently someone leaked photos of my halloween costume for the jaramillo twins birthday party and my agent is telling me i keep getting offers to be in multiple spy movies.” valencia admitted with a small chuckle, she thought it was rather silly that all this hype was over a halloween costume. “should i say yes? i’m sure they’ll get me a stunt double, right?”​

“well hey, that’s not a bad thing at all.” josh smiled. “i reckon you should say yes, i doubt anyone would expect you to perform your own stunts unless you asked or offered to.”

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 were definitely moments where courtney was seriously considering firing her agent, in fact tonight may have been the final straw in his coffin. the brunette had somehow been persuaded into going on a ‘date’ - a pr stunt on her end. however the male sat in front of her was excruciatingly condescending and just plain boring; she couldn’t stand it anymore. excusing herself and making her way over to the first person she saw. ❛ i will do anything you want from me if you please get me the hell away from that man.❜

❛  so how’s everything       going with      your custody battle      ———      I was speaking      to val     and      she was with.     her dad      talking about speaking      to the judge      on your     case . ❜      he doesn’t know      what it’s like     to be a father     or       want to be a father ,     he doesn’t even think      he would      ever be     a good one     but      he knows that      joshua      is a good one ,      a very       good one. 

Fiona simply shook her head, refusing to believe that was what she was doing. Maybe it was, but could anyone really blame her? Someone had to protect Henry, to keep him from all of this. And she had been the only one able to do that. “I hope that is true. It’s hard for me to believe that he’ll be enough to keep you away from all of that when he wasn’t before,” she said softly. But of course, Henry wasn’t her. Josh still loved him whereas she meant nothing to him now. It still terrified her though, that Joshua would relapse. She had seen it happen so many times, whether from her sister or the people she tried to work with and help with volunteering. But at some point, she was going to have to stop being afraid. Otherwise, it would just continue to consume her like it had been lately. She stepped away from him embrace, from the warmth that felt so good but knew wasn’t hers any more. Would she ever feel safe in someone’s arms again like she had with him? She wasn’t sure. “Yes. But the moment something happens to him, the moment you start having problems, you will think all of this is a cake walk in comparison. I won’t risk Henry. Not ever,” she said, shaking her head. She’d be the villain all over again if she had to. “I never wanted to go to court. But I would if I had to. Everything that I have done is for him.”

joshua nodded and sighed heavily. “losing kat has been the hardest thing that’s ever happened to me. i don’t think there’d be anything that could hurt me that much again, unless something was to happen to henry. i know i fucked up fi, but i’m not gonna do it again, i promise and the only thing that’s gonna prove that is time, i know. but i will prove it.” he told her. he’d give his heart and soul to that little boy, he’d move mountains for him. and yes, he’d fucked up before and it would aways be something that he’d regret, but he was doing better now and he’d continue to do better. and like he said before, if the worse came to the worst then he would let henry go himself. the last thing he wanted to do was cause that little boy anymore pain and heartache. he refused to be that presence in his life. he’d be the person that protected him and got rid of all the monsters under the bed. he’d never provide him with any judgement or make him think there was something he couldn’t come to him for. he was going to do all the things his own dad should’ve done for him and kat. it had changed when kat had passed, his dad had realised when it was too late just how unsupportive he’d been, how distance josh and kat were from him now. he had seen just how the guilt had affected him, he wouldn’t let that happen to himself. he nodded his head in agreement. “that’s fair enough. i’m not gonna hurt him fiona, i promise you. and i’d never let anything happen to him. if it wasn’t for him, i’d probably still be a mess. he’s the person keeping me going.” he gave her a small smile. “well i’m happy it’s not coming to that and we can work this out internally.” 

“Right now, I feel like I probably should,” Ali said, referring to what she was revealing about the whole Kaiden situation. She felt like an absolute bitch for hurting him. “You’d probably still be pining after each other, both too afraid to do shit about how madly in love you guys are. I really saved everyone from that fate,” she teased, smiling a little before it fell away. “I didn’t say from the start though. I said the whole don’t fall in love with me thing when we were joking around about something. I didn’t know I should have said that before. I thought were were just friends, nothing more,” she explained. It did feel like her fault though, like maybe she shouldn’t have been flirty or should have said no to them kissing. Instead, it felt like she had encouraged all this. “Yeah, I know. I stopped that after he told me. I tried to apologize and explain that I had no idea but he was just so upset… And it was all right before he went away. He’s a great guy. Almost perfect. And I hurt him and I hate myself for it.” Her phone buzzed in her pocket and she pulled it out, glancing at first at the article mentioning Tobias. But then her eyes snagged on her name and she paused, reading the whole thing. “Oh fuck.”

“aline look at me, you don’t okay ? you never do. we all screw up sometimes, i’m the poster child for it. we just have to learn from our mistakes and move on.” he told her and wrapped an arm around her, rubbing her arm gently. “see ? this just proves that you’re not a bad person, look how much you helped me and davina. and it wasn’t as if it was for your own gain.” he nodded as he listened and pressed his lips together in thought. “well then maybe communication can be what you take from this and work on going forwards. if you’re going to start sleeping with someone again, let them know right away that in this point in your life that’s all that you want and nothing more. as for kaiden, all you can do is apologise. and he’ll understand eventually i’m sure. i love the kid, but it isn’t as if he hasn’t made his fair share of mistakes. you’ll get through this, i promise.” he looked over at her. “what happened ?” 

“oh shut up, archibald, you wish you had half the comedic chops that i have. you know, i would’ve really loved to have you in one of my movies or snl skits, but the constant brooding look just makes you look constipated, my guy. and i wouldn’t want to worry the crew.” he joked with a grin, giving his shoulder a playful nudge. “no need to get into it. if anyone’s gonna teach h-dog how to be a ladies man, it’s definitely gonna be uncle jackson.” he said with a proud grin, laughing as josh smacked him on the arm. “oh relax, every kid needs a fun uncle that helps them get into trouble, it builds character.” he said with a nod. and he kept the smile on his face at the mention of davina, despite how much it killed him. “that’s good, man, it seems like things are finally looking up for you, i told you they would and i couldn’t be happier.” he said with a nod, clinking his water bottle against his glass. “well, i’m with someone new, so who knows, maybe this one could be it for me.”

“oh, shut up, you’re so dramatic. i wouldn’t mind having another baby, though. i feel like i missed the best parts of aphrodite and kaiden growing up, it would be nice to get some of that back. but i definitely wouldn’t make them a complete hippie weirdo, maybe just a little bit though” she said with a small shrug of her shoulders, giving him a nudge. “certainly in their own way…that’s for sure.” she said with a sigh, but it shouldn’t have been a surprise that she birthed two of the most complicated children, considering the life they grew up having. “well henry’s side is all that matters. divorce sucks, but when kids are involved, your feelings don’t matter anymore, you know? and i’m glad fiona’s finally seeing it that way. i hope it stays that way.” she said with a nod, taking another sip from her cup of tea. “to be honest, i don’t know what he needs anymore. he’s just…so in his own head and i feel like i’m not getting through to him, you know? he’s been lying to me about being okay for so long and i believed him. mothers are supposed to know when their kids are lying…and i had no idea.” she said witha  heavy sigh, rubbing her forehead, unable to help the soft smile that spread across her lips at his words. “it takes time. but the two of you have literally been absolutely obsessed with each other since you were seventeen, i don’t think either of you are going anywhere.”

besides her father ,      there wasn’t      anyone    that she held      to such      a pedestal     for      being      a father .      yes ,     people make      mistakes     and      they mess up     but      what really matters      is that      they try     to correct     those mistakes      and      joshua has      been doing that      , he’s been sober      and     it should matter .       it should     make     a     difference      but      for some reason ,      the carcass       that was fiona,      somehow    didn’t      see that .      ❛ you should ,       there is not      a lot     of    people , I do     that.    for ——-      should i expect      a present soon     or     maybe even a       marriage proposal     in     the future ——      obviously not     for me      but      you’re not getting      any       younger , archibald . ❜      she teases him       with a      small nudge ,     as she finally      takes a seat       next to him .     ❛ please ,     you don’t     owe me      anything .     I just wanna      see that       baby boy happy . ❜     valentina wasn’t       someone      who was     motherly     but.   for some     odd reason ,     she had become      attached      to     joshua’s son .     ❛ look at you ,     living the      fairy tale      life    ——-      well,      I’ll just live     through     you ,     can’t be tied       down to     just     one person ,     monogamy      isn’t for    all     of     us ,     y’know . ❜
