The voiceover to the motion by design script. Think it needs some work but itās going to be pretty cool.

Something olā Rupes our creative director cobbled together. This is going to be a part of the rebrand, motion by design, spaceship NewFlight kind of thing. Cool eh?
Theyāre Only Biscuits
This week we launch three massive products weāve been working on for a long time. The late night / early morning sleepless regime Iām on is killing me and the stress mounts, I donāt usually get stressed but I can tell I am from the amount Iām swearing and the number of walks Iām taking that either I take a holiday or this laptop wonāt last much longer (think deliberate push from a tall building).
These three products are for three different clients and each one is patiently waiting for their baby to be the priority. Unfortunately, everyoneās on holiday.
So from a muffin startup, to luxury watches to a big data app. Each one is so wildly different from the next Iām beginning to wonder if maybe we branched out a little too eagerly. Although in their own rights, they are all very cool. Put them together and you have 5 minutes of my starred playlist. Eclectic.
Itās times like these, when I canāt remember the promises Iāve made to people, deliverables become ambiguous and my mac screen looks like a clown juggling the Adobe Creative Suite and Google Mail, that I remember something someone told me a long time ago.
This person actually taught me a lot, whether she knows it or not, a lot of my secrets come from things sheās said in passing, iāve buried in memory, ready to call back to at surprise occasions. What she said on this occasion however was:
I had a huge launch with the company McVities, massive, all expectations high and the seeming make or break of the confectionary universe. Things werenāt going so well.
I was called in to meet with the MD.
I planned my story, to explain the situation, to absolve responsibility.
He saidĀ āwell....theyāre only biscuitsā.
And from this story my entire perception of the importance we create for ourselves melted away. Unlike anyone who does anything substantial, we will never be remembered for our work. Our work will barely be remembered at all, sometimes not even for a month, a week, sometimes our work never sees the light of day. And ultimately how many peopleās lives do we touch, change, inspire? Realistically, No oneās, nada, nothing. In the end, what we do only fulfils us, helps sales and fades into the abyss of campaigns past. It must be an ego thing.
Iām not complaining, I love what I do. I do it for the love of what I do, not for sales, not for launches and not to change peopleās opinions. I do it to make my clients look cool and make myself feel cool. Itās definitely an ego thing.
So next time a launch or a project or the next hurdle in your life is the biggest priority in the world and your entire existence might collapse under the pressure, remember, fuck it really, theyāre only biscuits.
Our award winning short film - I Heard It Too
Based on the two sentence horror story:
A girl heard her mom yell her name from downstairs, so she got up and started to head down. As she got to the stairs, her mom pulled her into her room and said "I heard that, too." Drrd777
Directed by: Matt Sears and Tim Knight Written by: Matt Sears Produced by Matt Sears and Tim Knight Starring: Nina Beagley, Rowena Beagley and Sophie Juge
New project weāre working on, really proud of the style , sound design and of course the motion graphics.

Motion By Design
Was it mankind who created space flight, or was it the act of reaching the stars, that finally created mankind?
We believe in the power of progression and innovation, momentum enough to change the world. It is with motion, that dreams become real and legends are made.
Because dreams are not enough, often empty and fruitless. Without ambition, a dream is a grain of sand on an empty beach, another wave crashing to the shore, never to be seen again.
With passion, drive, execution, fantasies become ideas becoming realised. Imagination becoming reality. It is through this design we split the crazy from the genius.
Progression through determination and focus is turning chaos into brilliance, wishful thinking into inspiration. We are the remarkable, we set our hearts to the beat of one rhythm, one movement, one ideal.
motion by design.
