we’re flying to Sydney for the long weekend bc it’s the queen’s birthday on Monday aka me! (it’s actually king’s birthday but idgaf about the king) just having this conversation with my friend being excited about seeing us after 6mos makes me feel loved 😩

saw a tweet last night about how someone postponed their su*c*de in 2023 bc they wanted to see how Hacks would end and while it may or may not be true, i know that deep inside that art like tv shows literally saves people.

back in 2020 when i got laid off from my ~dream job~ and experienced depression, it was really difficult for me not to feel extremely sad especially during those times when i’m alone with my thoughts, so when i learned that my most fave sitcom New Girl came to Netflix, i couldn’t help but celebrate. every time i would think about getting laid off and getting sad, i would watch it and it would make me feel better even just for a while.

and then a year later, Netflix decided to remove the show from its catalogue so i DM-ed them on twt:

thank god for 🏴‍☠️ bc i was able to rewatch the show 8 more times.

i've been wanting to buy a piano at the beginning of this year bc this brain NEEDS to be braining and not just drown in nonsense aka doomscrolling. this is included in my vision board (to learn a new instrument!) so i'm really happy that i finally made the purchase that i've been putting off for so long!

when i was in high school, i learned how to play basic guitar but i didn't keep up with practicing. i still know some basic chords until now but i decided to switch to piano instead bc i don't like calluses on my fingers hehe.

before i bought the piano, i thought to myself - is it gonna be just left unused for a long time after i'm done being excited about it? so, my solution is to put it in my habit app — to learn piano for at least 30 minutes a day — so this investment doesn't go to waste and i can really keep up with this new hobby. (also posting this for accountability)
