Heh, they gave Sif a different top on this cover than she is wearing in the book, which is way more modest... I wonder if that was a mandate from on high...

One of those insanely rare moments where Odin is actually NOT an asshole for once, we see that he specifically stepped away so the others would see Thor imperilled and go to help him, despite it being forbidden...

Sure enough, the gods of Asgard can't just sit and watch Thor get his ass kicked, and so they disobey Odin and head down to Earth to help their friends.

We are very obviously building to a big all-out throwdown, as we see all the people back on Asgard sneaking into Oden's chamber to see what is going on with Thor and Sif as well.

H.E. and the Godpack show up to help... this would probably be exciting if I cared about any of these characters...

Pretty much a redraw of the last page of the last book, but this time to tell us who everyone is and also show how big they all are compared to Thor and Sif since they kinda just looked like normal-sized dudes in that one...

Kinda digging this cover, even though Thor is going off some super 90s vibes.

That uh... does not bode well for Jane's little son there...

It's just this easy... make Kurse see Thor as Malekith, and he'll just kill him for you, no questions asked...

Also, we see Jane realizing she doesn't stand a chance against Sif and in that outfit, who could blame her for thinking that.

Roy is very much pulling from the Simonson run... which honestly, if he is gonna pull from a past Thor run, that is about the best we could ask for...

Even Lorelei's love potion isn't enough to force Ben to actually kill someone... which really kinda should have been a thing Malekith expected...

Also, Ben's facial wound is really random every time we see it. You think someone would have set like a precedent, and they would stick with it, but sometimes it's just a little thing, or sometimes we get this HUGE veiny thing we got going on here.

So the person who talked Lorelei into all of this was Malekith, and as soon as Ben has the Mead, Malekith takes over Lorelei's projection and has Ben drink the Mead instead.

Anyway, she sends him after the love mead she made for Thor when she was alive, and Ben, instead of knocking, just busts down the door to her old apartment...

Sitting in Hel, Lorelei has decided that no she actually does love Thor, but she then mentions wanting him to come save her from Hel, and like I have a feeling that want is driving a lot of that love... also someone is kinda stirring her up and getting her into trouble, but they have him cast in shadows...

Yowza... it doesn't feel normal for Sif to be rocking an outfit like this, but I'm not complaining.
