Finishing our observations at Bommarito Almond Tree Winery! Great people and great wine!

Today, the Winemakers of Eagles' Landing went to Bommarito Estate Almond Tree Winery. We thought we were simply there to observe, but the Winemaker, Cathy, had other plans! She showed us the ropes, and soon, we were crawling inside tanks to give them a good scrubbing! It might seem like menial work, but we truly learned invaluable information. We look forward to returning. Be sure to stop by if you are in the area. We tried a pre-filter sample of their Nick's Hill white blend. It is fabulous. Tart, crisp acidity. Notes of tropical fruits (think banana) and pear. Nice minerality and a surge of bite in the long, lasting finish. And what a view to enjoy a glass of wine!
