Otayuri Headcannon: The Perfect Gentleman
- Otabek is literally the perfect gentleman
- He goes to Russia and asks Yuri’s Grandfather permission to date him. He also makes a stop at Viktor and Yuuri’s apartment to ask their permission after all, they are Yuri’s skating parents and also because Viktor would be hurt if he didn’t ask him
- Before they kiss for the first time Otabek asks, “is it okay if I kiss you?” and Yuri just kisses him in response
- He literally opens every door for Yuri which Yuri pretends to hate but secretly loves
- Viktor constantly texts Otabek threats about destroying his boy’s innocence which infuriates both Yuri and Yuuri to no end, but Otabek admires his concern and reassures him that he would NEVER
Every time Viktor threatens Otabek, Yuuri just says “we fucked after knowing each other for like three weeks you hypocrite, leave the poor boy alone”
- The first time Yuri says I love you, Otabek literally swoons and sends him bouquets and chocolate every day for like three weeks after
- Otabek doesn’t even let them sleep in the same bed before Yuri is eighteen. Even when Yuri comes to Kazakhstan to visit him, he makes Yuri sleep in his bed while Otabek takes the couch.
- Even though the age of consent in both of their countries is 16, Otabek and Yuri wait until he turns 18 to finally have sex
Which Yuri was prepared for by the awkward sex talk Yuuri gave him that he hated at the time but turned out to be useful
- When they do have sex, Otabek is gentle and caring making sure it feels good for Yuri
- The morning after Otabek cooks Yuri breakfast in bed
- Otabek sends Yuri flowers and gifts for almost anything like the anniversary of when they first held hands or when they first went swimming together
- When Otabek gets down on one knee to ask Yuri’s hand in marriage, he fucking sobbs because that’s just how much he loves him
- After they get married literally nothing changes, Otabek still keeps opening the doors for Yuri except something did change Otabek’s last name. Otabek takes an extreme amount of pride in his new last name: Plisetsky. When some news outlets’ refer to him as Otabek Atlin, he fucking loses it and starts a twitter with the sole purpose of correcting the people who get his last name wrong. He only ever tweets about Yuri and his married name. He doesn’t even follow people back, except his husband. This makes Phichit angry Slowly but surely his twitter account changes over to an endless stream of tweets about the children Yuri and he adopted
- Otabek gets nominated for Best Dad but when he wins he says, “I do not deserve this award, but my husband Yuri does” and gives him the trophy
- He never stops opening doors for his Yuri throughout all of their years together and buys him flowers and gifts all the time
