Go forward without a path, Fearing nothing, caring for nothing! Wandering alone, like the rhinoceros! Even as a lion, not trembling at noises, Even as the wind, not caught in the net, Even as the lotus leaf, untainted by water, Do thou wander alone, like the rhinoceros!
Gautama Buddha
The wise person, does really not look to change anything. They become quiet. They have patience. They work on themselves. They watch their thoughts, watch their actions and observe themselves getting angry, observe themselves getting depressed, observe themselves getting jealous and envious and the rest of it. Little by little they realize,”That’s not me. That’s hypnosis, that’s a lie.” They do not react to their condition. To the extent that they do not react to their condition, to that extent do they become free. They no longer care what anybody else is doing. They compare themselves with no one. They compete with no one. They simply watch themselves. They observe themselves. They see the mental confusion. They don’t run around shouting, “I am absolute reality. I am God. I am consciousness.” Rather, they see where they’re coming from and they leave everyone else alone. Such a being unfolds at a fast rate. It makes no difference what predicament such a being is in. It doesn’t matter, for such a being is already free. When the mind rests in the heart, that means when the mind does not go out any longer and identify with the world, when the mind rests in the heart there is peace, there is harmony, there is pure being. When you allow your mind to go out of your Self it begins to compare, it begins to judge, it begins to feel offended, and there is no peace. There’s no rest.

My coworker sometimes thinks I'm mad at her because I don't really talk to her as much as I used to. In reality, the quote above describes how I feel lol. I'm not mad. I am what I am and I feel what I feel. I don't attach labels to my feelings anymore. I simply observe my thoughts and feelings, and I let my heart decide how to respond to those thoughts/feelings. Most importantly, I relish in silence.
Please open yourself up to trust again. Trust in your own journey, trust in yourself. Trust in all that you have learned and where you have been and what you have experienced. Open yourself up to love and beauty and goodness, there truly is so much of it out there to be found. And, when you open yourself up to it. It will find you, too.

yknow people make fun of ghibli tears… but I think they aren’t made to portray what they look like on others, but instead how they feel like to us, when WE cry. Doesn’t it always feel much bigger/vision impeding when it happens to us as we experience it?
I’ve been trying to put this into words for ages, thank u

So for ergonomic reasons and the fact that I can’t see 3D, I’ve recently gotten myself a 2DS. This leaves me with this Blue Pokemon XY 3DSXL which I figured I’d give away since trying to sell it hasn’t proven very fruitful.
Specifically there’s the System itself, the box, the AR cards, a charger, and basically everything that came with the system other than the Club Nintendo code. It has seen light use but is in very good condition.
It’s a US 3DS and thus can only play NTSC games and so I’ll only ship to countries in those regions (The US, Canada, Mexico, and most South American countries)
Rules are simple, you get two entries, one reblog and a like. On November 9th I’ll dump the entries into an RNG and give it to the person who pops out.
If you’re following me I’ll throw in a $20 code of the Nintendo e-Shop as a bonus!
Have fun and good luck
The woman on the left is a mother from Miami who was so desperate to feed her hungry family that she was trying to steal a lot of food.
The woman on the right is Miami-Dade County Police Officer Vicki Thomas. Officer Thomas was about to arrest Jessica Robles but changed her mind at the last minute.
Instead of arresting her, she bought Robles $100 worth of groceries:
“I made the decision to buy her some groceries because arresting her wasn’t going to solve the problem with her children being hungry.”
And there’s no denying they were hungry. Robles’ 12 year old daughter started crying when she told local TV station WSVN about how dire their situation was:
“[It’s] not fun to see my brother in the dirt hungry, asking for food, and we have to tell him, ‘There is nothing here.’”
Officer Thomas says she has no question that what she did was right:
“To see them go through the bags when we brought them in, it was like Christmas. That $100 to me was worth it.”
But Officer Thomas did have one request:
“The only thing I asked of her is, when she gets on her feet, that she help someone else out. And she said she would.”
And guess what? The story gets even better.
After word got out about what happened people donated another $700 for Jessica Robles to spend at the grocery store.
And then best of all a local business owner invited her in for an interview and ended up hiring her on the spot as a customer service rep.
She started crying when he told her:
“There’s no words how grateful I am that you took your time and helped somebody out. Especially somebody like me.”
And to think it all started with one veteran police officer trusting her “instinct” instead of going “by the book”.
finally some good news to read
Holy shit... takes a lot of fucking courage to tell someone you like them... but what a release of burden after telling them haha
The greatest challenge of this personal quest is to accept that this quest is one of solitude, one that you must realize that no one will see or experience what you are truly seeing or experiencing. It is through this journey of walking a lonely path, that you discover the ultimate wisdom, truth, and light within yourself.
There is always a number of enquirers who interest themselves in the teaching to a certain extent and then drop it altogether. Why? Because they are not primarily seeking the Overself for its own sake but only the Overself along with hidden powers or personal success or something else, or sometimes, these things only and the Overself merely as a means of obtaining them.

Highlands of scotland... So grand and majestic
The Warrior of the Light does not worry that, to others, his behavior might seem quite mad.
He talks out loud to himself when he is alone. Someone told him that this is the best way of communicating with the angels, and so he takes a chance and tries ot make contact.
At first, he finds this very difficult. He thinks that he has nothing to say, that he will just repeat the same meaningless twaddle. Even so, the Warrior persists. He spends all day talking to his heart. He says things with which he does not agree, he talks utter nonsense.
One day, he notices a change in his voice. He realizes that he is acting as a channel for some higher wisdom.
The Warrior may seem mad, but this is just a disguise.

Without solitude, Love will not stay by your side. Because Love needs to rest, so that it can journey through the heavens and reveal itself in other forms. Without solitude, no plant or animal can survive, no soil can remain productive, no child can learn about life, no artist can create, no work can grow and be transformed. Solitude is not the absence of Love, but its complement. Solitude is not the absence of company, but the moment when our soul is free to speak to us and help us decide what to do with our life. Therefore, blessed are those who do not fear solitude, who are not afraid of their own company, who are not always desperately looking for something to do, something to amuse themselves with, something to judge. If you are never alone, you cannot know yourself. And if you do not know yourself, you will begin to fear the void. But the void does not exist. A vast world lies hidden in our soul, waiting to be discovered. There it is, with all its strength intact, but it is so new and so powerful that we are afraid to acknowledge its existence. The act of discovering who we are will force us to accept that we can go further than we think. And that frightens us. Best not to take the risk. We can always say: “I didn’t do what I should have done because they wouldn’t let me.” That feels more comfortable. Safer. And, at the same time, it’s tantamount to renouncing your own life. Woe to those who prefer to spend their lives saying: “I never had any opportunities!” Because with each day that passes, they will sink deeper into the well of their own limitations, and the time will come when they will lack strength to climb out and rediscover the bright light shining through the opening above their head. And blessed be those who say: “I’m not brave enough.” Because they know that it is not someone else’s fault. And sooner or later, they will find the necessary faith to confront solitude and its mysteries.
For those who are not frightened by the solitude that reveals all mysteries, everything will have a different taste. In solitude, they will discover the love that might otherwise have arrived unnoticed. In solitude, they will understand and respect the love that left them. In solitude, they will be able to decide whether it is worth asking that lost love to come back or if they should simply let it go and set off along a new path. In solitude, they will learn that saying no does not always show a lack of generosity, and that saying yes is not always a virtue. And those who are alone in this moment need never be frightened by the words of the devil: “You’re wasting your time.” Or by the chief demon’s even more potent words: “No one care about you.” The Divine Energy is listening to us when we speak to other people, but also when we are still and silent and able to accept solitude as a blessing. And in that moment, Its light illuminates everything around us and helps us to see that we are necessary, that our presence on Earth makes an immense difference to Its work. And when we achieve that harmony, we receive more than we asked for.
For those who feel oppressed by solitude, it’s important to remember that in life’s most significant moments we are always alone. Take the child emerging from a woman’s womb: it doesn’t matter how many people are present; the final decision to live rests with the child. Take the artist and his work: in order for his work to be really good, he needs to be still and hear only the language of the angels. Take all of us, when we find ourselves face-to-face with that Unwanted Visitor, Death: we will all be alone at that most important and most feared moment of our existence. Just as Love is the divine condition, so solitude is the human condition. And for those who understand the miracle of life, those two states peacefully coexist.
-Manuscript Found in Accra, Paulo Coelho
"It's odd," the Warrior of the Light says to himself. "I have met so many people who, at the first opportunity, try to show their very worst qualities. They hide their inner strength behind aggression and hide their fear of loneliness behind an air of independence. They do not believe in their own abilities, but are constantly trumpeting their virtues."
A Warrior reads these messages in many of the men and women he meets. He is never taken in by appearances and makes a point of remaining silent when people try to impress him. He uses these occasions to correct his own faults, for other people make an excellent mirror.
A Warrior takes every opportunity to teach himself.
-Warrior of the Light, Paulo Coelho
