everything is illuminated

One of my primary litmus tests was always “would I want to share this on my own social accounts?” This is a pretty good lens to look at a potential piece of content through. If you’re not the target demographic, then would your mom share it? Would your brother? If something is good enough for people to want to use to self-identify, then you’ve officially told them a compelling, personal story.

An insight into change -  I had set in to motion some self destructive patterns some time ago and have been regretting them lately. Accompanying these patterns was a feeling that “this is just how things are, and they can’t change.” It’s that feeling of being stuck. Yesterday I realized that taking responsibility for the bad choices you’ve made in the past means that you no longer need to be controlled by them.
