FtW Chapter 11!!

"... He headed out early this morning, said he wanted to start job hunting as soon as possible… We might run into him if we walk around town! I was planning on looking around anyway, since we just moved here, and it wouldn’t hurt to get used to the place!” Looking around, exploring the world of human people, and possibly running into Tsukasa on the way… “Not a bad idea… I don’t see why not!” Rui grinned.

It's been a while since I last drew Miku, and I've had this idea / redraw in mind for a while now.

I never ended up sharing the original because I hate it so much, and no amount of fixing it got me to like it (and I don't plan on sharing it ever lol). But this one is also different enough from the original that it ended up becoming its own thing.

And with a (roughly) 3 year difference, I'm a lot happier with this piece :D

Long time, no Little Kitty ':D

How long has it been now, since Rui escaped the apartment? It couldn’t have been more than a few days, but it already felt like an eternity. And... aside from Mizuki and Nene, and his parents… Rui had no one. No one… except Tsukasa. And Rui despised that fact.

Tsukasa’s younger sister, whom he cherishes dearly.

Saki’s health had many ups and downs throughout her childhood, and had finally started improving not long before their parents died.

Saki blames herself for Tsukasa giving up on his dream of the stage, since he had to stop and care for her. But she has no fault for his decisions, which he tries to remind her of. She does hope he hasn’t fully given up on his dream, and will pursue it again one day soon.

As for her own aspirations, Saki feels she has yet to try out enough things to decide what to aim for. Though she is very eager for the new experiences that come with moving to a new town.

While she initially didn’t want to move from their hometown, she’s grateful and excited to start anew in the town the Tenmas have since moved to. She’s bound to make friends with the locals and explore all kinds of new opportunities soon enough!

Saki's here 🥹

While we have yet to meet her in From the Waters (I'm getting closer to finishing chapter 11 day by day, I swear...), her reference sheet is finished and ready to share!

I spent a good while thinking of what I wanted to do for Saki's redesign, but I didn't have anything concrete that I really liked enough to start drawing it.

Then Saki7 came out, and I love the cards so much, so I based some of the design on that card, her "A Year's Worth Of Thanks" card, and a tiny bit from her "Old Piano Trio" card (with my own twists to make her design how I want it to be (and so I could avoid some of the details 😅)).

But I'm really happy with how she turned out, and I got to do her better justice than before 🙂‍↕️

As for who's ref sheet is next, uh, we'll see lol

And now, we're on to the new year (in a few more hours, for me)

2025 sure was... something. Looking back, I can see that I did a lot this year, but it also feels like I didn't do enough? Or perhaps I'm stuck on the writing that I didn't get done this year 😅

As for my (art) goals, I only got working on the mini comic done, which, considering how this year went, I'd say that's alright! I didn't get everything done that I wanted to draw, but I did get a decent amount done.

My writing goal was to just get work done on FtW, which I did do, since I finished writing the first arc this year! I also wrote other one shots and such, and I managed to get out a part for Little Kitty (I know I'm neglecting that series, but I'm trying to work on it, I just need to actually finish something 😔)

For 2026, I want to focus on writing more in general. I don't necessarily want to set specific goals, but I just want to write (as long as my physical / mental health allows it).

I also want to read more. There's so much I want to read, and I've slowly been working through my books these past few months, so I want to continue doing that at whatever pace I'm able.

As for my art, I want to draw a birthday piece for all of WonderShow (and maybe Miku). I've only managed to draw something for Rui and Tsukasa's birthdays, but I want to do something for all four / five of them. I have a vague idea of what to do, but I'll have to keep thinking about it.

And I want to (finally) get a meet the artist done sometime this year (though I highly doubt I'll get it done in time for my bday on the 4th lol)

I am very late, but it is done!

It was really fun working on this piece, and I wanted to take my time with the details, since Mizu5 and Ena5 are really important events for us, so I wanted to do them justice. And it was my first time drawing Ena! I'm really happy with how Ena and Mizuki turned out :D

And I hope I can get both their cards on the rerun next year 🙂‍↕️

Summary: Tsukasa didn’t mind the occasional ball or two, in fact, he enjoyed many of the yearly festivities held within the kingdom.

Two years later, I finally got around to redrawing this scene :D

I wanted this one to be finished before I posted chapter 7, but that obviously didn't happen, or else I wouldn't have posted it (and the following chapters) yet 😅 Speaking of, I should get back to chapter 11 soon 🤔

But I'm really happy with how it turned out! And playing with the lighting / shading was really fun to do hehe
