It's okay to be living a stagnant life. You don't always have to keep climbing, you can slow down and make connections with the people around you. It makes life more meaningful.

Reach out for help from the people you trust. If you isolate yourself, you're gonna have a bad time. (That's putting it lightly.)

Support your trans kids! Actually, support your kids in general. Don't be an abusive parent, for Pete's sake! You can't control what or who your kids turn out to be, you can only guide them. Trying to control every aspect of their lives, including who they are and their own identity, is just not going to work out in the long run. It's only going to lead to trauma, severed connections and misery.

Another thing about abusive parents, your kids are not your punching bag to take your negative feelings out on. Just because someone is smaller and/or weaker, it doesn't give you the right to treat them as less than. Instead, find other methods to cope with negative feelings, like art, music, or talking things out with a mature, more stable relation.

Adding on to the last point, trauma doesn't give you an excuse to treat others like playthings. No matter what you've been through, you always have a choice in how to treat others. If you push everyone away by acting like a douche bag, not caring about other people's feelings, etc., you're just going to end up alone in the end, and maybe even worse. Humans REALLY need connection. We're social creatures, you can't deny that.

Abuse only works in the short term. It's not worth it to treat yourself and others like trash. Don't try to suppress others, it'll only lead to one of two things. Either they'll turn the tables and fight back, or they'll be destroyed. And what's the use of a broken toy? (Don't treat people like toys.)

Don't take the people around you for granted. You'll never know when they might be gone.

First of all, male Undy- I mean Hairo appears less and less as time goes on. It's a shame, tbh, I really like him. Every time he shows up in a later episode I go, "Oh, hey, it's Hairo!" He's just a genuinely sweet, passionate guy. He's got some serious Chronic Hero Syndrome, though. Like, dude. You don't have to be so self-sacrificing. Still, he's a good guy.

Kaidou gives me neurodivergent vibes, but I'm probably just projecting or something. Totally. He's one of my favourites, so it makes sense.

That said, Saiki also gives me neurodivergent vibes, but still. Projecting. But then again, he's also one of my favourites, so it makes sense. I can see why people want to befriend him. If I were in that world, I'd want to befriend him too!

I was watching a little bit of Saiki with my mum in the room, and when she saw Nendou, she was very quick to point out his butt chin, haha! And I had to take a second look because I was so used to his appearance by that point. She literally described him as having balls on his chin. I'm not making this up.

I wasn't surprised when I went online and found that a lot of people don't like Toritsuka. I mean, he IS that kind of character. I like him, but sometimes he can be a bit... much? I honestly don't know why I like him. I just do. He's not my favourite, but he's alright.

I don't really care much for Saiko. I'm not a fan of rich, snobby characters who think they're better than everyone else. Although I do love that he makes friends despite it. THAT'S RIGHT. CARE FOR THEM.

I already liked Kuboyasu when he was introduced, mainly because I like characters that get angry easily (and I know why, I grew up on Looney Tunes). But he really won me over when he stood up to that kid in his introduction. And then later, when he made friends with Kaidou? AND they refer to each other by their given names?! AAAHHH IT'S SO PRECIOUS!!!

To be honest, I know I'm putting everyone's names down here, but I actually have a really hard time remembering these guys' names. When I went back to watching the show, I completely forgot everyone's names apart from Saiki, Nendou, Saiko and Hairo, and even when I did get most of the main characters' names down, I still can't remember the names of Saiki's parents. I literally kept referring to Kuboyasu as Aren for a while because I couldn't remember his first (last?) name.

When I watched the anime for the first time, I had it in Japanese with subtitles because I didn't like how the subtitles don't match up with the English dub (and I watch EVERYTHING with subtitles because sensory processing disorder). But now I'm rewatching it in English, HOLY MACARONI. I MISSED OUT ON SO MANY JOKES THE FIRST TIME. Of course, it was still hilarious in Japanese, but I felt like I was dying watching the English dub. Everyone did such a good job. Props to all the actors, Japanese and English.

So far, as I'm rewatching it, I made it up to Episode 17 of Season 1 and...

He. Looks. So. Done.

Saiki in a nutshell there.

Actually, I really like how despite the fact that he is a psychic, it's clear that Saiki is still a teenager. It's not apparent at first because he's so serious, but there are points in the show where he does something and I'm like, "Oh. Oh, he's just a young boy!" The main examples that come to mind are his reactions to bugs and the fact that despite having psychic powers, he's still intimidated by his mum when she tells him to go out. That goes for a lot of other characters in the show too. Mostly Kaidou, but that's because he acts younger than he is, anyway.

To be honest, all these teens are precious and I have strong maternal urges towards them. They are my children now.

Undertale Secret Santa!!!

(Please hear me out and wait for the end)

A 25-chapter long story about the main cast doing a Secret Santa! I know it's not original, but I think it'll be fun. Besides, I have ideas for everyone's arcs within the story! I spun a wheel to see who everyone gets, hehe.

Anyway.

Frisk got Flowey! The trouble is, they're having a hard time finding him a gift since Flowey's always expressing how much he hates everything and wants everything to die (he's going through an edgy phase). So they end up stalking him to get answers. But they get caught and they're told to just get something based on what they already know about him. So they get him a violent RPG. How did they manage to buy it? Well, they got it off a Temmie, of course! Temmies don't care about age ratings!

Flowey got Undyne! Now, Flowey already knows everything about everyone thanks to his countless resets in the past, but there's one problem with Undyne. Whatever ideas he gets for her, somehow Alphys, Papyrus or Asgore had already given them to her! Either that, or she just already has them! It stumps him! How is he supposed to get something for her if she already has everything she could want?! He might have to get creative.

Toriel got Mettaton! And she... knows literally nothing about him. They never interacted. Okay, she knows he's a star, maybe watching his movies could help her out! She spends so much time watching his movies for research she almost misses her chance to get him a gift. Whoops. In the end, she gets him something he already has, but it's okay! Because he needs a TON of what she gave him for a secret project! Funny.

Sans got Toriel! And he doesn't get an arc. He literally has no problem at all. He's just a running gag, travelling across the world in inexplicable places just to get Toriel something she's always wanted, which just happens to be exclusive to another country. He's vibing. Just chilling.

Papyrus got Asgore! He already has the perfect gift in mind. Actually, would Asgore like the other thing more? He'll get the other thing! Wait, what if he prefers that thing? He'll just get that thing! WAIT, but what if he already has that thing?! Maybe he'll like THAT thing instead! Wait, he's only supposed to give him one gift?!?! He bought so many!!!

Undyne got Frisk! It's surprisingly difficult. Frisk is a hard person to read, and on top of that, they seem to vibe with just about everything. How is she supposed to make the kid's gift special if she doesn't know what Frisk holds dear to them the most?! What do you get a person who seemingly likes everything?

Alphys got Sans... and she doesn't want it. She already has a gift for Undyne, so she REALLY wants to trade with the person who has her. She never finds who got her, but she spends so much time trying to trade with people that she forgets to get Sans a gift. Sans doesn't get a gift in the end, but he doesn't mind. Alphys feels terrible about it, though.

Mettaton got Papyrus, but he's in the middle of shooting for a new film, so he puts off the Secret Santa until the last minute. And even then, he just buys him some MTT merch. Classic Mettaton.

Asgore got Alphys! He doesn't get that much of an arc either, he just wants to find something special for her. But then Alphys comes along and tries to trade with him, and she ends up learning that Asgore got her. This causes Asgore to think he needs to trade now too, but he ultimately decides against it.

In the end, there's the exchange, and everyone is happy. The Secret Santa is a success and they just can't wait to do it again... when December actually rolls around.

Anyway, there was this girl who just inserted herself into their daily lives. Completely new, no one's ever seen her before. And it turns out she was some sort of twist villain that wanted to take over Frisk's role, I think? She wanted powers? I don't know, she wanted to do something. She was pretty annoying.

Anyway, for some reason, abstraction was a thing on this island. Yes, abstraction. From TADC. And for some reason, Papyrus got abstracted? For legitimately no reason? I remember really hating that. I was in Frisk's body, but I had no control over what Frisk did, so it felt like I was watching a film. Anyway, he turned into this giant tentacle monster instead of an actual abstraction because why make sense at all?

Sans was devastated, but he never ended up abstracting, thankfully. Sans had a pretty big role, actually. I'm not sure what he did, but he showed up a lot. I guess that means he was important.

Also, that girl who wanted power and to insert herself into the story? She also abstracted, but instead of an actual abstraction, she turned into a pig monster as she showed her true colours. I have no idea.

I remember this school full of teenagers in uniform, but they didn't do much.

At one point, there were, like, two tsunamis? And apparently Frisk had Creative Mode on, so we just flew over the waves. Somehow, everyone was fine despite it being a tiny island with TWO TSUNAMIS BACK TO BACK. Those students in the school? They just evacuated and somehow everything was fine. Keep in mind, when they evacuated, they just walked out and lined up like it was a fire drill or something. Just leaving themselves open for the tsunami to wash them away. Somehow it worked. I don't know!

Oh, Containmenttale...

Thanks for the memories. It was fun while it lasted. :)

Though that might have to mean I'll do an event with these guys in the future.
