a lover, a dreamer. you see the world thought pink tinted glasses, don't you? romanticizing little things, picking flowers on your way home, buying colorful stationery and glittery pens to decorate your journal with. you remind me of myself, honestly; we're such hopeless romantics, and even if our hearts get shattered on the floor, they keep on beating- doesn't that make us braver than any soldier? i think we are, friend. it's okay to want a fairytale, to daydream of all those nice things that make butterflies fly their way up to your throat. i'm with you. you remind me of rose lemonade and soft, lilac bedsheets.

headcanon dump! these are ones that are long-established parts of my personal interpretation of duck and princess tutu in general, so i may as well throw a bunch out at once!

hey, it’s dusty! this is my blog for duck from princess tutu! the pt rpc seems to be pretty tiny at the moment so i’m going to be doing mostly aus and crossovers and want to see who’s interested! i currently have verses for twewy and pokemon, and her post-canon verses can work for modern muses!

Duck was lost.

It was to be expected. She’d never been outside of Gold Crown Town before, and Shibuya was nothing like she was used to. There were so many people and the buildings were huge, even bigger than the gates back home, and as she spun around, craning her neck to look up at them, the stream of people jostled her along, so when she finally looked back down she was somewhere completely different.

Exploring was fun. She didn’t have a purpose for being here, really, other than the simple fact that she could. Fakir had everything under control back home so she was essentially on vacation. Still, she would have preferred to have some kind of direction so she could see the things she wanted to, rather than just wandering aimlessly the whole time.

Duck looked around for someone to ask for directions. Everyone looked so busy, moving like they had somewhere to be, and she would hate to interrupt them. Oh, but she’d passed a lot of shops on the way here, hadn’t she? Surely someone in there would be willing to help her!

She turned around with renewed determination, but someone else caught her eye: a woman, slightly removed from the crowed, walking more slowly and carrying a sketchbook. Perfect! Duck would ask her! That way, she wouldn’t even have to worry about trying to find one of the shops again. So she marched on over and tapped the woman’s shoulder.

“Um, excuse me?” she said. “Hi, um, sorry to bother you, but...” She sighed. “Yeah, so I’m new here and I kinda sorta lost my map so I’ve been wandering around for like an hour and now I don’t know where I am. Not that I really knew to begin with, haha.”

"Oh, wow, it's all so different from ballet! But, um, not in like a bad way or anything!" she quickly clarifies. “Haha, I’ve just never seen anything like it before, you know? Um, maybe Femio's dancing was kinda close-er, but even that was, like, a totally different style. I guess he really was ahead of his time, huh!” She laughs awkwardly.

Honestly, some of the videos Karen's been showing her remind her of how she used to dance, more flailing about than clean choreography. But they all seem to be having so much fun that Duck can't help but smile, too.
