They have every one of those things. He just refuses to see their interiority. Like he always did. Like he refused to understand why his wife would kick him out, and keeps refusing, even now that he can see that she was terrified of him. Cause she's always been just furniture to him.

Sexual assault and abuse changed me in ways that are hard to put into words. It stole parts of my innocence, my sense of safety and at times, even my hope. There were many fucking moments when the pain felt so overwhelming that I questioned whether I could keep going, and I found myself wanting to end my life many times, even still to this day, because I couldn't imagine a future where the hurt would ever fade from the years of abuse. While my heart continued beating, it often felt like a part of me had died when my voice and my choice were repeadtly taken away. That's also why I believe sexual assault can be as devastating as murder. it may not always take a life in that moment, but it can leave someone fighting every single day just to survive the invisible wounds it creates. If you're reading this and carrying that same weight, please know you are not alone. I see you, I believe you, and your pain is real. There is hope, even if you can't see it today. I'm here to remind you that your story isn't over, your life has value, and you deserve healing, support, and love. Together, we can keep speaking up, standing with one another, and proving that no survivor has to face this journey alone. 💜🖤
