Chris doesn’t always know how to explain how he feels. He feels everything in a way thats big, loud, and fast. But when it comes time to put it into words, they trip over each other, get stuck in his throat, come out wrong.

So instead, he reaches, for your hand. your waist. The sleeve of your hoodie when you’re walking a little too far ahead.

Sometimes you catch him doing it without realizing.. fingers tracing absentminded patterns on your arm while he talks, thumb brushing your knee when you’re sitting side by side, pulling you into his chest like gravity made the decision for him.

You used to think it was just how he was. Affectionate. Touchy. Chris being Chris. Until one night, when you’re quiet longer than usual.

You’re curled up on his bed, knees to your chest, thoughts tangled, and he notices immediately. Which he always does. He scoots closer, presses his forehead to yours, waiting.

“You okay?” he asks softly. You hesitate then, honest in a way that scares you a little. “I just… sometimes I need you to talk to me. To tell me what you’re feeling.”

Chris nods, but you can tell he’s struggling—eyes flicking away, jaw tightening. Words aren’t his safe place.

So instead, he reaches out, slow and deliberate. He takes your hands and places them over his own racing heart.

“This,” he says quietly. “This is me talking.” He pulls you closer, wraps his arms around you until your cheek fits perfectly against his shoulder, until your breathing syncs with his. He presses a kiss to your hair, your temple, then your forehead.

Like they're punctuations and reassurance. “I don’t always know how to say it right,” he admits, voice low, almost shy. “But I need you. And I feel better when you’re here. When I can touch you. When I know you’re real.”

Your chest aches—in the good way. You finally understand: Chris speaks love through closeness and warmth. Through a connection you can’t fake.

And as he holds you firm, like he’s anchoring himself to you—you realize he’s been communicating all along.

You just had to listen with your body instead of your ears.

Haven't posted on here in a while but man oh man winning the Constructors feels a bit bitter i'm not gonna lie. Imo McLaren is not ready to have a world champion, they cannot communicate right and even if they start with one strategy in mind, they end up fucking both drivers along the way. They need to fix their approach bc they aren't able to handle the competition between Oscar and Lando.

People say the 2 of them have such an immense pressure and they aren't champion material, when's actually the teams fault for not being able to respect the drivers in a race. If and when the gap is under 10 points in the championship, watch McLaren lose their shit bc if they cannot handle the current gap, all hell breaks loose in the last races of the season.

As much as I love McLaren, they have serious problems they need to be taking care of bc they're messing up their drivers' results. I know there's favouritism and shit but take care of it behind closed door, not on national television.

Yeah i agree, somehow it's normal for them not just for brad to take a more mature take on his/their image, he's 30, he won't be all smiley and goofy all the time in music vids or in pictures.
