I have an idea who could kill Boelcke, maybe Lanoe Hawker (probably nicknamed "The butcher" - as far as I remember is flying tactic was "Attack everything") (English major from RFC, killed later by MvR) (I know it's not historically accurate, but hey, that's an au ^^) (after Hawker's death probably his right hand - Roy Brown - will be seeking the revenge and we will have those deadly rivals trying to kill each other once again).

We may even have two endings for the story... First - the tragic one: in final duel Brown and von Richthofen shoot each other to death and they finally may join in death their: beloved (Manfred) and boss/friend/whoever Hawker was for that young Canadian (Roy). Second - the happy ending: both survive shooting. Manfred soon will realize that Boelcke just faked his death to see how von Richthofen will manage without him (and will be proud of him) and Brown may be... will join the police and will chase Richthofen and the rest of the gang forever.

Oh man I love this idea so much hwehehehehe 😈😈😈 maybe it could be an OE (open ending) or something ^^ though I’m leaning toward the regular depression (the first version)… a happy ending could happen in another AU of mine (yes I have another one, my brain is endless lmao). 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I know, daily dose of depression is tempting (and Boelcke looks like someone who is followed by death everywhere he walks) , but open ending with a bit of dopamine wouldn't be that bad. And I want to see that Brown bastard in police uniform xD With coffee in one hand, gun in another and mad look in his eyes xD
