First one tells the story of great archer Hou Yi and his wife Chang'e. One day ten suns appeared in the sky causing great disaster so Hou Yi Shot down nine of them and received the immortality elixir for this act. He didn't want to leave his wife so he didn't drink it. When Yi went hunting one of his apprentice broke to the archer's house and tried to force Chang'e to give him the elixir. She refused and drank it. Then she flew into the sky and chose the moon for her new home. In second version of this story Hou Yi after saving people became a king. He was a cruel and wanted immortality for himself but his wife Chang'e took a potion and flew into the sky. Hou Yi died because of anger and Chang'e became the moon spirit.
