Nektari snorted in reply. “Nice try.”, she hummed. She wouldn’t really admit that the total u-turn of her personality somewhat unnerved her. “But you wouldn’t be the first biter in this force.”, the yellow woman commented. If she would, she could most likely point out a few people in the ranks who had a habit of biting.
“You really need to talk to more people.”, she snickered loudly, her voice just commenting on how hostile the woman were. She was acting like a dog, one who hadn’t been taught how to properly act in the company of others. All snapping jaws and barks of displeasure.
She snapped her fingers in a moment of remembrance. “I never really asked for your name! How absolutely rude of me!”, Nektari mused and folded her hands under chin, her elbows landing on the table with a small ‘clunk’.
“I’m Nektari. And you are?”, about time she actually asked that.
“I talk to enough people to know that I don’t need to.” Her disapproving frown momentarily returned, given how the smile hadn’t gotten the point across. This soldier really didn’t know when to quit. A useful trait in battle, for sure, but not in situations like these. Unless she liked making enemies, that was.
“Nektari.” She repeated, committing the name to memory and not willing to admit that it had a nice ring to it. It wouldn’t take long to find out what squadron she belonged to (though it wouldn’t have been too difficult without the name; it wasn’t like there were any other bright yellow Brench on the base).
A long moment passed, far too long to make the exchange anything less than awkward. She almost wanted to leave the woman guessing her name. Almost. Just because she was annoyed with her comrade, that didn’t mean she should be rude. “I’m Jureppu.”
