ℰrror of ᾈttraction
Jongdae immediately laughs— and he doesn’t mean to, so he clears his throat and pats his chest idly, as if trying to cover up with a coughing fit. Smiling up at the other, Jongdae chuckles and shakes his head. “Um— it’s not a matter of being welcome. You can drink things other than alcohol in the bar, y’know? Half the profit is designated drivers drinking shirley temples or some shit.” At least, he’s sure it’s gotta be… although most people in this part of the city catch a cab or walk home to their posh, downtown apartment. Aha.
The question posed is innocent at best, because the guy really has a… hm… a face that doesn’t seem to joke. Sure, his smile is handsome but his eyes are innocent and oh, he’s Jongdae’s favorite type of victim. Er— person. Favorite type of person. To corrupt with greed lust and carnage and his eyes drop down to the other’s neck, wondering how quickly he could mark up that pale skin with his teeth.
Haha woah Jongdae, bring it in.
Flashing a charming smile, one that totally belies all of his inappropriate thoughts, Jongdae’s hand slips into the crook of the stranger’s elbow. “Why, yes. I would very much like your company.” Tonight just got infinitely more interesting. With his arm linked with the stranger’s, he turns them around, and starts to head back towards the aforementioned bar: The Marquee. “I’m Jongdae, by the way. What are you doing out by yourself? There’s weirdos out here, y’know.” Jongdae included but shhh, he’s got a pretty little lamb in his wolfy claws.
Designated drivers? Shirley temples? In Junmyeons vocabulary, a temple was not something you could drink, but then again his knowledge about things was probably on the same level as a child's. Also... who was Shirley? Maybe.. it was really not such a good idea to go, after all. Rewinding the decision-making process, maybe he should listen more to the high number of percent that told him things would turn into an absolute catastrophe than to his eagerness to find out how this bar, The Marquee, looked on the inside. Curiosity killed the cat, and even though Junmyeon didn't have nine lives, he was pretty sturdy as well so perhaps he could make it. Also, he would not be equipped with a learning software if it was that bad to be curious about things, right?
While he was still processing the pros and cons, calculating what would be the best decision, the friendly stranger just poked in, making the decision for him instead. Of course, Junmyeon was not one to resist when the human tugging on his arm looked so visually appealing and very friendly and happy, of course he knew he had to be careful but it was not easy being careful when he had no idea what he was supposed to look out for. Surely, a person who smiled a lot could not be something he had to be careful around, could it? And the man, Jongdae, might be somewhat lonely, being here all by himself with no company, maybe he just wanted someone he could talk to. Even though the blonde was not sure if he was the right person to take on this task, it seemed the other was disagreeing with him there, guiding him in a strange way by the joint of his arm to the bar, just down the street.
Glancing sideways, he tries to get a good angle of Jongdaes face to be able to add it to his data, but the lightning is terrible and Junmyeon finds, that somehow he looks more appealing in person anyway. "My name is Junmyeon. I was just checking out the area since I have never been here before." Amazing, it was a hundred percent truthful answer for the first time this evening. It seemed they were making slow progress towards not making this end in an absolute disaster. Now Junmyeon just somehow had to sit through probably a long time of smalltalk, why had noone made a software yet how to effectively master this art? Stopping in his tracks before the entrance to the bar, Junmyeon reached out his hand, gently pressing his fingertips to the skin of Jongdaes shoulder. "I have not met weird people here yet, but you should be careful too." Furrowing his brows for a moment, the artificial male's expression had something motherly caring, but then his lips parted into a smile again and the illusion was gone.
Compared to the rather silent night outside, the music inside of the bar was loud, amost drowning out the voices of all the humans who were sittig and chatting, various classes with various liquids accumulating on the tables as far as he could see, with the lightning barely being better than outside. It was overwhelming, yet also had something about it that made him somewhat understand why Jongdae had chosen this place to go to. It was strange, the loud music seemed to take up most of his attention, effectively pushing his other ongoing processes into the background. Strange, but not necessarily bad, it was somewhat the equivalent to the human word 'lightheaded'. Now more than ever he was happy to have someone like Jongdae, who could guide him a bit, because this was all new and unfamiliar and loud and yet, oddly sympathique.
