chapter 1:

pretty straightforward start; obviously this is the fun gang defeating king at the end of ch1.

The "stop the dragon" part most likely refers to Susie, partly because gerson tells Susie that out of all of the dragon blazers characters (another retelling!), she is the dragon, and because "stopping" her can be interpreted as us befriending her and stopping her more antagonistic behavior.

chapter 2:

"battle in chariots" most likely refers to berdly's fight, or even spamton neos fight, which are quite literally in chariots, but neither relate to 'saving the queen'.

It could also refer to the thrash machine, which is used to defeat queen (which could also mean saving her by recruiting her to castle town?). The only character who is really 'saved' in chapter 2 is noelle, but its clear that shes not the queen being talked about.

(this could also just be about the driving mini game thingy, ie 'the queens chariot cannot be stopped')

chapter 3:

Firstly, "isles of northernlight" may refer to the fact that the dreemur house, and by proxy the ch3 dark world, is the north most point of the map.

Secondly, the islands may be both the islands in the tv time game / the boards and the areas of the dark world, while the lost land could be both the original game (the ramb/eram board) or the snowy desolate area where toriel is found.

chapter 4:

This one bugs me. Gerson is very obviously the "great smith" here, but what is the terrible weapon?? It could be the JusticeAxe, but that's an optional item and not an integral part of the story.

Thinking more metaphorically, it could be Hope, or the idea he instills in the heroes (susie specifically) that they have the power to change the narrative. This could be seen as 'terrible' for the angel / the player / us, since it could take away the players power in the game.

SO, tldr, if these chapter descriptions are very vague, off and hard to decipher, then it would be reasonable to assume that the ch5 description is also not 100% accurate. so..

chapter 5:

Okay, firstly, even though pink and gold are very significant colors in the game, here i think its simple referring to the 'sunset' of this chapter, with pink and gold being sunset colors.

The 'inferno of jealousy' seems most obviously like Asgore, with his fire magic from undertale and his envy of.. a lot of things honestly. And this would make sense, especially when paired with his prophecy panel, but like ch3 it could have a double meaning.

This may seem like a random claim, but maybe it could also be ralsei? It does seem very out of character for him to be jealous, but he has been forming more of his own opinions and emotions. Plus, is friends are out having fun at the festival while he's practically waiting for the world to end (the roaring). I'm probably reading too much into it, but it may be a possibility, also with the theories of ralsei getting an offensive magic attack (specifically fire magic, like the dreemurs in undertale).

But nevertheless, that leads me into a bigger claim i have about chapter 5 based on gersons dialogue..

THE ROARING WILL START IN CHAPTER 5

(specifically at the end of the chapter)

Why do i think this?? Well, gerson himself says that there was only one more chapter after 5, and after that, "it all stopped."

To me, this implies that deltarune is 'supposed' to end at chapter 6.

Lord of the Hammer ends there, and we can also assume (from lord of the hammer and from the ch4 panels) that the prophecy ends there, but we all know there's a chapter 7.

So, I believe that at the very end of chapter 5, after the flower king dark world (and maybe a lake dark world based on the arg??? though that may only be the weird route), the roaring will start.

We won't play through any of it, it'll probably only be a cutscene and a cliffhanger for ch6- which I believe will be only the roaring, and based on the newsletters it seems to be shorter and more dialogue based than battle based, which would make sense if it was the roaring. Thus, the roaring occurs in ch6, and the prophecy ends. But deltarune doesn't.

So then whats chapter 7? If its not mentioned in the prophecy or in Lord of the Hammer or even Dragon Blazers, then what happens?

Well, I think chapter 7 will be the characters subverting the prophecy. It will be nothing like the rest of the game. Itll be the culmination of all of the secrets hidden in the files, the voice in the code, the bunker, every meta aspect of the game so far.

It'll be about reshaping the story of deltarune, and what its supposed to be. It'll be another retelling. Because thats one of the main motifs of deltarune; the retelling of stories.

The Prophecy is a retelling of deltarune. Lord of the Hammer is a retelling of the prophecy. Dragon Blazers is a retelling of Lord of the Hammer.

And even deltarune is just a retelling of a fever dream Toby Fox once had.
