What He Wanted by Juliette Goode

This was freedom, balmy summer days, late afternoons cooled by rain. We swam, we laughed, we kissed. Our own small world, sheltered by nature. My body wrapped in his arms, the purest feeling of being seen, held, loved enveloped my heart.

The heat from the sun was but a minor contributor to the rising temperature between us. Our bodies pressed together under the thin linen sheet. The days bled into each other as we explored one another, softly, passionately, without shyness or hesitation. My body was his, and his was mine, to devour, to worship.

I want you so much 

“I love you.” 

“This is forever.” His breath caressed my ear with his whispered promise. 

You are my best friend.
