Wanted to try throwing together a quick Essek Thelyss doing gravity fissure. I think it came out alright. I don’t usually do poses this active. The lineart actually did come together pretty quickly, but then coloring happened. I’ve never done magic effects like this before and it took me forever to put something together that I liked. Black magic is tricky but I have no frame of reference. I was also working with vanishing points which was actually more fun than I thought it’d be.

You can see my original concept where I was gonna put a lollipop halo behind him and channel some biblical art, but things changed. THINGS CHANGED, DANG IT!!!

Took me 5 days, and I’ve decided that it’s done!

Started this after episode 139, but then Lucien changed form so I updated the piece.

Cognouza Incanate, Lucien’s final form, rending itself asunder. Very dramatic. Absolutely loved it!!!

Used that Led Zeppelin album cover with the angel as my original reference, then I took the render of episode 139 Lucien, then I took some photos and looked up a few pictures of Matt and abs!

I really like how much texture and color I was able to use! Enjoy!

I was working on a different piece of Cognouza Lucien and I thought of this and so I did this one first!

Laura wanted to summon spiritual weapon and have it be Lucien like a halo. And I said out loud ‘that’s getting art!’ But then it didn’t actually happen and I haven’t seen art for it yet, probably because ALOT of other stuff happened. Just finished up the 100 portrait challenge (or 100 head challenge). I went for speed and not erasing! So I used mostly ball point pens. I spent way too long cleaning up the spreads afterwards, but it does look way nicer laid out like this than it would’ve if I just tried to arrange some photos.

Time to put this one up on the Tumblr. Happy Monday everyone! I wanted to draw Essek coming in all ready to face the cold. I kept seeing these drawings of him with this bit of fun on his cloak and I wanted a whole lot of fur because, having brought a globe o’ warming, I figured he’d hate the cold. Poor boy doesn’t have a hat. Outfit based on Matt’s description, Essek’s minifigure, and whatever I wanted! And I think he came out pretty good. I don’t usually draw backgrounds, but surprise! I did this time!

He’s making a face because when he was waking in, Jester was joking that they were naked and he needed a face.

Posted this to my Twitter earlier, but it’s Thursday so I wanted to get it up here as well! I wanted to use full color, backgrounds, multiple characters, and dynamic shapes. No idea if the dynamic worked out but things lined up pretty well. I’m pretty proud of it.

Pose studies using Usher’s 2016 song “No Limit” ft. Young Thug. I picked a song I wouldn’t get sick of. The white background was also considered. I had a lot of fun. And the dancing is so fun. The diversity of ages is wonderful and they all look like they’re having a ball. There’s still a minute left in the song I haven’t drawn, but I think a break after 3 rounds is suitable. The hands that I focused on finishing came out really good, I think. Enjoy!
