“it’s just..not my favorite place to be right now,” and that’s not to say she didn’t love it or her family. but god damn they were stressful sometimes. “i’m okay,” mckinley fails to mention she can’t for a drug test for a possible hopeful job interview. “maybe next time we can come together and smoke some. or i can bring some wine”

max let out a sigh before carefully climbing up next to juliet. she kicked off her shoes and let them lay in the grass. “are you sure it’s alright?” she asked softly. “me? i’ve been alright i suppose. dating someone? that’s an absolutely false rumor.”  she shook her head and shifted how she was sitting. was she dating anyone? that definitely wasn’t a question to ask juliet. “the company’s still standing. more importantly, how are you?” 

“yeah, it seems to be nicer out than it has been..though, i’ve mostly been inside for the past few weeks.” kinley could only shrug, moving to sit near juliet. she hadn’t realized just how much walking she’d been in the past few hours. “you’re welcome.” a small smile accompanies her words before pushing strands of hair from her face. “just want to be out of the face, you know?”

finally taking his eyes from the computer screen, angelo lets out a small, exaggerated groan, “jesus, why did i even take summer classes,” he says to no one in particular, “i could’ve just enjoyed my summer, but no, i had to take boring, time consuming classes.”

there was a specific spot that casey liked to go during his breaks from work, and it was one that his sister had shown him a long time ago… a hidden place in the park. so, he had an hour to take his dinner break and his partner had run to his house to get dinner with his family, but he brought his salad to the park. he was surprised to see his sister, so he just smiled, “nah, it’s cool.” he sat down next to her, shrugging, “as long as i don’t leave here smelling like it, i don’t care. you know that.” he began eating his salad, smiling slightly, “what brings you here?”

after he got done at the shop, ben decided to take a walk. it had been a long few days, so he really needed to clear his head. noticing juliet sitting down on the grass and smiled slightly, “hey stranger…” he bit down on his lip, swallowing slightly, “i.. uh…” he didn’t want to say he minded, but he also… did mind.

Reece had ventured out to the park, since she hadn’t been in so long. It was probably too late to be going out for a walk, but what else was there to do? She found herself near a bunch of rocks, and she hadn’t noticed anybody near her until the smell of weed had hit her nose and someone spoke. “Oh no. Don’t worry.” She said, waving a hand. “Its not like I haven’t smelled it before. Continue on.”

sam’s favorite place to study was in the park: it was quiet… peaceful, in a way. so, he found himself laying on his stomach in the grass, reading over notes. over about an hour, he gathered his things and decided to cut through the park to go back to his house when he spotted a friendly face. “oh, hi! i didn’t mean to bother you…” he shook his head, “no, it’s cool.”

max needed just a little bit of air to clear her head. after the scare with ace over the weekend she had spent several hours a day fussing over her sister. whatever hours she hadn’t spent with her sister or sleeping she had been at the office. max just needed some time by herself, she needed some time to be herself. as she walked through the halston city park she saw a familiar figure nearby. her smile grew as she approached juliet. “it’s alright jules.” she took a few steps closer to where her friend was sitting. “it’s definitely been too long, sorry about that. i think that’s definitely my bad.” she felt guilty about not reaching out to juliet recently, but max had, had so much going on. “no, no you’re fine.” 

“ You’re a much nicer person than I am, ” Kieran laughed. He took the flask from Juliet and ran his eyes over its surface, not knowing exactly what he was searching for. “ What’s in it? ” He asked, but didn’t wait for a reply before he took a sip from the top. “Can’t complain, I guess. I’ve been working a lot, which is nice. I like to stay busy, you know? ” He asked, mostly rhetorically, before he passed the flask back to Juliet.

“WELL i heard it in the mirror when i saw myself and said, woah hey there sexy.” he said with a wink, “uh, pretty sure i’ve always been aaron samuels,” 

her house was crowded with something that felt akin to tension. mckinley didn’t know what it was or where it came from, but it felt almost like suffocation every time she’d breathe. after leaving noah with one of her siblings, she took it upon herself to take a breather and actually..do something for once that didn’t involve sleeping til noon and checking her email for yet another no response to her various emails about new jobs. a voice brings her out of her own thoughts, looking around for a moment before eyes landing on juliet, “yeah,” there was small laugh after it. she truly hadn’t noticed the other was there but didn’t mind any company. “no. no, you’re totally fine.” her hands in her pockets as she stood, eyes watching the sunset. “what’cha doing out here?”

“it’s not just that. i told you, she’s naming my factual strengths,” he told her with facetiously stuffy seriousness. “my apartment’s a democracy because… of liberty,” he replied with an imitation of confidence. “oh, alright, you know i can’t explain.” he motioned to give her a kiss on the cheek to distract her from ribbing him further about his lack of academic inclination (in diplomatic terms). “go ahead, quote me. i’ll take all the free publicity that i can get.” he laughed lightly. “exactly what a super rich person would say, babe. and, no, you’re not half-bad. in fact, you’re my favourite.”

morgan went on a daily run through the park, which was usually in the evening. it was cooler, so she could usually go longer. this time, however, she spotted juliet as she cut through one of her short cuts, “hey…” she panted slightly as she stopped, hands on her hips, “no, it’s cool. don’t worry about it.”
