Odette had to laugh lightly at that admission and tilted her head as she studied him a long moment. “Two weeks, is that a record for you?” she teased, her tone dry, albeit amused. “I don’t know. I think it depends on the person and the situation, but two weeks doesn’t seem that strange to me? Especially for someone not in a relationship?” Now, when she had been in one? She would’ve been crying about it long before day five that was for sure, but she had other priorities now. “It’s- don’t know. It’s been a while.” She cleared her throat and attempted nonchalance. “I don’t exactly have the time or energy to seek out potential partners.”Â
Julian turned to face her in the aisle, kind of forgetting that he didn’t need to be that close to her. He just liked to make eye contact with her, probably more than most other people. “Two weeks is strange for me. Not to be an animal but affection, physical touch, sexual chemistry -- those are all big things to me.” He sounded like a huge softie but didn’t mind to admit it in front of her. “So what are you looking for then? Has it just been a coincidence that you come in and get breakfast every weekend? I was kind of hoping you liked my company.”
