Please only post gentle constructive criticism or comments. I'm trying to find my inspiration again. 

New story I'm working on. This will be my first writing project in over a year. ☺️ Here is my blurb so far.

Hermione is nineteen; Severus is thirty-two (I've aged him down a bit). I know it's still an age gap, but let's face it, Hermione is more mentally mature than most people twice her age.

They both deserve a happier ending, and I will give it to them!

Severus survived Nagini's venom, as he brought an anti-venom with him, which he administered after Harry left. Knowing that even after Voldemort's death, he had too many enemies to live a peaceful life and retire as a spy, he faked his death. He escaped into the muggle world and began a new quiet life there using his mother's maiden name of “Prince”.

For Hermione, the end of the war brought little closure. Yes, the threat of evil and death at the hands of Voldemort and his cronies had ended, but she now found herself essentially an orphan. She had known when she Obliviated her parents, there was a chance she could never get them back. Despite assurances from the Ministry that they would work towards a solution, she had great doubt that her parents would ever remember her.

Meanwhile, Harry had gone off to become an Auror, and although she knew he was excited about his new path, she missed him. Things hadn't worked out with Ron the way she thought they would. He was a lovely friend, and she couldn't deny that she had feelings for him growing up. But now she had grown up - and some part of her knew that he hadn't, not yet, and maybe never. 

So after breaking up with Ron, and still grieving her parents, Hermione decided she needed a break from the wizarding world. She returns to attend a prestigious university in muggle England, where she studies the sciences, with a particular interest in the brain - perhaps muggle medicine could provide a way to restore her parents. While living there, she decides to visit a local apothecary shop. She is very surprised when she meets the owner. 👀 🖤🐍🍵

I've decided the title is "Confort of a Snake".

This isn't going to be long, because I'm feeling pretty crappy from my chronic health issues, but I want to share a few of my favorite things from the new live action Moana:

The first has to be the cultural representation. They truly went above and beyond in making sure every single detail is culturally authentic. If you're interested in this, I highly recommend checking out some of the promo interviews - not only was Dana Ledoux Miller involved in writing the screenplay, but many members of the Cultural Trust, like Tiana Nonosina Liufau, also worked on this film. Here is one good article about it.

Stemming from that, while there are no new big plot points, we do have several new scenes and new dialogue with Moana's parents and the villagers of Motonui at the beginning and end of the film, and we also get a brief scene with Moana's parents while she's gone. They all get fleshed out into more nuanced supporting characters.

Maui. I know it's weird seeing The Rock with hair, but I loved the character choices made for this version of Maui. I've never really connected with him in the OG film because, to me, he feels like a 19 year old comic relief character instead of a 3000 year old demigod. He's still funny, cocky, and charismatic; but he's allowed to be genuinely frustrated with Moana in this version, and his passive-aggressive jabs at her are allowed to sting. It made his backstory, for me, hit even harder - because I could genuinely believe this is a guy who's been around for 3000 years.

Moana. Where can I even start? Catherine Lagaʻaia is phenomenal in this. Like Halle Bailey's Ariel and Lily James' Ella, Catherine doesn't just play Moana - she embodies her. Both her singing and her acting are off the charts. I could go on about her forever, but the character choice I liked the most was the extra emphasis on Moana's intelligence. Moana frequently gets treated by people as being just an Action Girl - and her athletic feats are great! - but it's her combination of heart and intelligence that makes her a hero. Also, while she was strong-willed and brave, this Moana is allowed to have brief moments of fear (like before fighting the Kakamora). This makes her bravery and success even more impactful, because she isn't being 'a reckless teenager'. She knows the risks and she takes action anyway.

The new end credits song. Hearing Auli'i and Catherine sing together brought tears to my eyes!

There are a few Moana 2 easter eggs! For example, we see a little more of Tautai Vasa than in the OG, and his name is said (which it isn't in the OG film).

The progression from ultra-realism to fantasy film. "You're Welcome" is the sequence that needs to make this transition work, and they did it really well.

More Pua! He's always been my favorite.

‘Yoda is my fave Jedi!’

While Plo is very traditional in most of his clothing choices when it comes to formal Jedi events, he actually prefers the style of his home planet.

I envision it as being a combination of wide legged baggy pants usually wrapped at the ankles especially if practicing the martial arts or training as a Sage and kimono style robes and tops and simple leather shoes.

Plo will practice his Baran Do katas usually shirtless with a staff, and barefoot regardless of where he may be practicing.

Shows up late to the Jedi Council Chambers with boba tea

could you imagine Edward Cullen at like...a high school football game?

getting dragged to an amusement park on senior ditch day

at some party and he has to pretend to be drunk to fit in with all the others

Mike, Eric, Tyler and Ben all start insisting on calling him Eddie

he goes on shopping trips with the girls because he's the only one with a running car that also has trunk space for their bags

he starts using his mind reading powers for The Gossip(tm) and Jessica is absolutely obsessed...finally someone with decent intell

God at some party everyone's lowkey high and they start playing truth or dare and Edward's using his powers to choose the least embarrassing option but Bella catches on and Edward Trusts Her so she picks him and he's expecting something tame like...truth what's your favorite color, dare kiss me or something lol but Bella looks him in the eyes and with no mercy dares him to strip tease while rapping an Eminem song. Mike films it. Edward didn't talk to her at all the next day lmao

they all go see a horror movie together and to Bella's absolute delight 1) it turns out to be a vampire movie and 2) Edward falls for every single jump scare

The Guys(tm) invite Edward to some weird bro bonding sleep over and Edward's expecting to be bored out of his mind without Bella but 3 redbulls, 2 video games and one ouija board session later they're all crying about their deepest fears to each other. Edward's telling them he's scared that if Bella marries him it will doom her eternal soul to hell but he can't live without her and they're like 'Eddie dude that's so specific calm down' 'have you considered therapy man??' 'bro you guys are 17'

Edward and Bella get roped into helping out with the senior prank and it goes t e r r i b l y. First time in half a century one of the Cullens have gotten suspended from school lmao

he sneaks Angela's little brothers candy every time they hang out at her house

Jessica begs him to tell her what Rosalie's skincare routine is but the vampire's don't even really have to shower they can just wipe stuff off and be good to go and he knows Nothing about skincare so he panics and tells her something absolutely batshit that nearly ruins her skin and Bella and Esme make him treat Jess to a spa day as an apology and Rose searches up everything on human skincare and buys some stuff for her

GOD can you imagine how helpful it would of been during eclipse to have completely non-objective friends chime in on the love triangle bullshit...Edward can vent about it without mentioning the vampire's and werewolves and they can tell him he's being dumb because she's clearly head over heels for him and is just friends with Jake

He's like 'but what if she stops loving me,,,' and they're like 'dude she's literally wedding planning with your sister and mom right now please shut the fuck up'

one day they plan a beach trip to somewhere other than La Push and it's cloudy enough that Edward should be fine if he keeps a shirt on and from then on the group has a mission: See Edward Shirtless. they go to LENGTHS. switching into his gym class. spilling things on him. begging Bella to take pictures for them. Good Christian Edward(tm) is scandalized but Bella thinks it's hilarious and keeps telling them he had crazy tattoos

Edward trying to fake pop culture knowledge to fit in but it's not working so he actually has to start paying attention to shit from the current decade and now he won't stop ranting to Bella about Harry Potter and he's very invested in Britney Spears' mental health

Edward trying to decode text talk and everyone makes fun of him bc he texts like a grandpa

Edward after one joint is on a full rant about how America should have handled the Spanish Influenza- like he has a detailed list of complaints and ideas- and everyone is like 'Bella I know he's rich but he's such a nerd Are You Sure you love him' skdjjdmd

But I'm also laughing so hard at the swaps between the dancers playing Hungry Dracula (grey hair, balding, wrinkles) and Fed Dracula (dark hair, tumblr sexyman) because so far they include:

Fed Dracula scoots backward while lying on his stomach while Hungry Dracula crawls forward at high speed

Quirrel/voldemort from a very Potter Musical

Hungry Dracula runs off stage at mach fuck and Fed Dracula runs straight back on, making a palaver about it

As of right now you can only romance 6 characters (+1 that uhhh i can’t consider romance but you do hang out with them)

Jonah the axe and Leah the Hammer are 2 post launch characters, they’re not in game yet but they will be in the future;

yes you can romance all of them at the same time! They make it clear in all their dialogues that they are ok with you being polyam and there’s mo gender restriction for romancing them;

To move forward the romance you have to go into the dunj, if you already have enough love points you can just enter and exit right after and you’ll receive a text message;

You can miss one of the weapons, they’re optional;

Check the upper side of the map every once in a while, where there’s a big house near the road… just do it;

There are events that happen and the weapon you have equipped last is the one that will be there, so if you wanna see the others react to said event i think you need to replay the game;

You can have more than one save slot; i’m on switch and it doesn’t let me scroll but i see at least 5 save slots, this way if you prefer to do a monogamous route or if you wanna see other weapons events (see point above) you can replay the game without deleting your files;

After the ending the game will let you still go around the map, basically sending you back to before the “ending”, this way if you wanna replay it with other weapons, if you missed a weapon or if you wanna level up the ones you have you can still do it without having to make another save file;

For my genderfluid people, you can change the pronouns your character uses (he/she/they) at any time in the game, same for appearance;
