did I just see AMANDA SEYFRIED walking down the street? no, that was JULIETTE "JULIE" STONE! SHE is a THIRTY-EIGHT year old who identifies as a FEMALE. I hear that they spend their days as a ASSISTANT DIRECTOR at RAINBOW ROOM. last I heard, they’ve been in town for A MONTH and were living in DOWNTOWN. some people would say that they’re WARM & AVOIDANT, but I wouldn’t judge a book by its cover!
Julie grew up in Jasper and pretty much lived her childhood outdoors. She was the kid climbing trees in a dress, volunteering for every school thing imaginable, and picking up random hobbies she'd drop a month later. Soft-hearted, a little chaotic, and always doing something.
She's always been the peacekeeper type, which (in theory) sound nice... until you realize she avoids conflict like it's her full-time job. Julie bottles things up, overthinks everything, and quietly spirals instead of confronting people. It makes relationships messy, but also makes Julie incredibly empathetic.
At 35, with a relationship that felt like it was cracking at the seams, and a pregnancy she didn't know how to handle, Julie panicked and left Jasper. Not her proudest moment, but she landed with her cousin in Washington and rebuilt her life piece by piece. Job, home, and eventually, motherhood.
Washington was good for her. She works in early childcare now, the kind of job where kids adore her and coworkers rely on her. She's the "fun mom" who always carries stickers and snacks in her purse, but she's also organized, the steady one people go to when things fall apart. She can navigate everyone's emotions save for her own.
Coming back to Jasper for her younger brother's wedding was supposed to be a quick visit. In Friday, out Sunday. It didn't work out that way. Now, she, with Emmy-Lou (2) in tow, is figuring out how to navigate her hometown again, along with everything (and everyone) she left behind.

childhood best friend Someone Julie grew up with. The person she sat with on the bus, spent summers with, definitely shared secrets with. When she left Jasper, she didn't just disappear on Everett... she disappeared on everyone, including this friend. Now, Julie's back with a toddler on her hip and a whole story she never told. This friend has every right to be confused, relieved, pissed off. But, she's still Julie's person.
the neighbor Someone around Julie's age who lives next door. They've known each other forever, but adulthood has made them quiet allies. This person is the dependable type who notices when Julie needs help and steps in without make a big deal of it. Carrying in groceries, changing her porch light, grabbing her packages, or distracting her daughter with silly jokes.
younger brother, golden child He's the reason Julie returned to Jasper in the first place. They love each other, bicker constantly, and know exactly how to push each other's buttons. Whether his wedding happened as planned, or went terribly wrong will be UTP.
older brother, sees too much Her older brother is the one who has always understood Julie better than she expected anyone to. He knew something was wrong before she left, and he's the one who noticed the small details others missed. He's calm and grounded, and the only one who hasn't pushed her too hard now that she's home.
